  • I love Mae West. She was out of her mind! Great clip.

  • do you have other scenes from this movie?? I am looking for the Louis Scene.

  • only Mae could pull this off. A fabulous Grand Dame entrance. I love you, Mae. <3

  • Lolol. You are so right.@LadyMissCoppertone

  • I love all of Mae's films but this one is perhaps my favorite! Just fun, zestful and lively start to end. Never will be another Mae West!

  • Proof she could be just as sexy as a brunette and, as she said, her favorite language was BODY.

  • French spoken...and sung...with a Bronx accent. Remarkable....or is that remarquable?

  • BLONDE OR BRUNETTE YOU ARE INCREDIBLE MAE. GRANDE, GRANDE, GRANDE. CUANDO LAS PIRÀMIDES DE EGIPTO SEAN SOLO POLVO, EL MUNDO ENTERO TE SEGUIRÁ RECORDANDO.

  • great entrance indeed

  • This is fabulous because if you watch Mae's waist you can see how the shadow behind her was retouched as an after effect to trim in her waistline to match the seam that was made as part of her dress. Additionally, Mae always demanded that the teeth of her female costarts be covered in grey makeup so that hers would sparkle. She was a diva & a star! Love her.

  • @BabetteBombshell - stunning info about the grey teeth demands. Meine Got she was a madam- She's 44yrs old here in this 1937 film and never stopped carrying on like an empress until she checked out. Phenomenally inspirational.

  • LOVELY!!!

  • I absolutely agree that "Every Day's A Holiday" is Mae's most underrated film. Mae is wonderful, and the supporting cast is hilarious. A great film!

  • If it were NOT for Women like Mae West, there would be no such thing as a " Diva ".

  • @NevilleMos Today's so called 'diva's' couldn't touch the hem of her bias-cut silk gown. Mae forever. <3

  • Oh my god I love her!

  • OMG!!! soooo smokin' with that raven colored hair! wow..

  • what a magnificent star, what an entrance!

    x

  • She was always great with an entrance...

  • She looks really good as a brunette. Was she really a natural blond?

  • Yes, she was naturally a dirty blonde, she made herself Platinum (pun intended).

  • I adore Mae. Thanks! I've only seen this particular film once, and loved it.

  • Mae West sure has left us with some great piecies of film and music. I love this track, and it's my second favourite piece of her music. Her voice is even smoother in that accent ^^

  • Thanks... She sure has.. and she was one of the few of the 1930's, 40's and 50's that actually didn't use someone else's voice for the singing. guess it would be kinda hard to do with a voice like hers anyway "-)

  • Then you haven't heard her do "Twist and Shout" on her "Way Out West" album. It is a "must hear."

  • My personal favorite on that album is "Mae Day"... I play that song every May 1st and August 17th

  • @ASOBEtrainer - You are very concientious with good taste.

  • I have a SIGNED framed copy of this album in my den. What an original...Madonna, Ga Ga...pay respects. Haven't seen this clip....Mae as a brunette? Wow!

  • My Favorite Actress, Thanks..

  • My Pleasure.. mine too as if you couldn't tell "-)
