  • It's a TI-83 with CAS. It's much less powerful than the TI-89.

  • It's not a calculator, it's a toy

  • Nspire Cas is better!

  • nspire

  • So, whats better Ti89 or Nspire?

  • tbh NSpire is a lot better for calculus and algebra in my opinion atleast. TI 89 is more powerful but NSpire is just god IMHO :D

  • Nspire

  • In it's current form, the TI-Nspire is inferior to the TI-89: very shitty on-calc programming capabilities (no games possible) and no ASM/C support. If TI ever adds such thing or that someone hacks the OS to allow such thing, then the TI-Nspire will be much better than any other calculators

I mean, on the TI-84+ and 89, you can have sound (through the link port using headphones+adapter), 3D first person shooters and even emulate a Gameboy

  • so basically what he is saying if wat you are looking for is a play toy then dont get an nSpire but for Math yes its better than the 89

  • Actually thats not true. The TI-89 is currently much more powerful than the nspire CAS. The nspire is a pretty new addition to the TI family, so it still has a lot of bugs to be sorted out. The Nspire is also still a work in progess, and it has not reached its full potential yet. So far, it looks like the TI-89 is still the better was to go, gaming wise or for educational purposes. The Nspire just looks better with a bigger screen and higher resolution with greyscaling.

  • Nspire it has everything

  • The best calculator by TI is the TI-89 calculator because it has a more advanced CAS, and 3-D graphing with real time rotation.
