I do feel bad that Tobey Maguire won't be in the next Spider-Man film, but still they're probably right to do a reboot. Spidey 4 would've probably been no better than 3. Having too many sequels can really detract from the legacy of the original film I think, like the Rocky sequels. Not every film franchise can be like Star Wars and Harry Potter.

Rocky wasn't that bad. Rocky 1 was brilliant, Rocky II had the same vibe to it and was good because everyone wanted a sequel, rocky iii had a great story and perfect characters, rocky IV had a lot of action and less of a story but still a exciting movie only rocky V sucked ass, rocky 6 was a great ending.. But harry fucking potter lolll. Spiderman 4 couldv been great if Sam Raimi wasnt stupid and bad,

@michaelyouth To each his own. I've never really been a diehard Harry Potter fan myself, but I still like them. As for Rocky, I don't think all the sequels are bad, I just think they made too many. I do like Rocky II a lot, and I agree that the sixth one was a good conclusion. The other sequels I don't really care about. They just don't seem to have the same spirit as the original Rocky. Of course, that's just my opinion.

@darthgoku135 True about Rocky, part III and IV didn't have that Rocky feeling/ vibe to them, as the original Rocky, and the first sequel had. Rocky Balboa came close though to getting that vibe back. Rocky to me still is the best movie ever made as it inspires in a way that hasn't been done before, in any movie, from Godfather to the Shawshank Redemption. I personally did enjoy Rocky III, I dont know why but it had something to it, just like IV I enjoyed them ALOT but they werent Rocky like.

I can't belive how much of the symbiote story Spiderman 3 stole from the 1990s series. It's just like how the Batman & Robin film totally stole their Mr. Freeze story from the Batman animated series of the 90s. I think that's why both films were so bad, because they had no original stories, just imitations of two classic animated series.

@Hethrin Actually, Mr. Freeze origin story in Batman TAS was totally original to the series. In fact, I've heard the character's origin story from Batman TAS was later retconned into the comics due to the success of the series, not mention they won an Emmy for that "Heart of Ice" episode.

Second Sinister 6 was: The same as above, but Mysterio was replaced with the Vulture.
