Cool..Nice video. How do you get the Sunbirds to stay still?!! The Sunbirds in my garden are very quick and never stay in one spot for a long time. =D
Hi there, it took us many years to gain their confidence.It started by us setting up some DIY feeders thus attracting up to a dozen pairs. They started building nests nearby and already have generations visiting us daily.This was the Olive-backs. Only a year ago, we noticed the Brown-throated. On my blog, we showed the progress. We eventually obtained some nectar feeders the USA. Without fail, the Sunbirds (about six pairs) stays around and would sit at their favourite spots .
continued..... They would then preen and rest. The rest is easy. We re-arranged out hanging orchids to allow our cameras (inside our home) to have clear angles and shots for stills (RAW) and HD video. With some camouflage materials too, we could get as close as six feet!!!
