awesome review........u guys take it on it's own terms.......metal vocals traditionally embed themselves in the grid of the song, its changes and emphases and so on: lou has his own metrical sense, a rambling across the beat, and in this highly determined context, backed up and invigorated by the hog-bellows of james hetfield.

Kid yourself all you want so you can proudly support Metallica, but there's nothing deep or meaningful about Lulu. It's awful poetry recording by a guy that hasn't cared about his career in decades with forgettable and repetitive mediocre riffs from a band that resents theirs TACKED ON as an after thought.

Here's a thought, ol' buddy - maybe more people would take the time to "get it" if these pompous clowns would actually put in the time and thought and all those millions to record something that doesn't SOUND LIKE FUCKING DOGSHIT. Production on this is obscenely horrible and it's an insult to ask money for it. Who cares what the premise is when the vocals are FLAT and it's mixed worse than "No Life 'Til Leather?"
