  • Do you think you could make me some plans

  • Is there any time you can do it

  • @158Blackops I wish I could but sorry, no =(.

  • I'm planning to make a DIY patch antenna myself, can you post info about it? thanks. btw I love the video u made it is amazing.

  • @dagobb the antenna info is on rc-cam (dot) com or do a google search for "Goof Proof Patch Antenna"

  • Do you think you could make me one over Christmas

  • @158Blackops I wish I could but I don't think so.

  • Ok do you have any plan for this plane cause I might make it

  • @158Blackops No plans published for this plane yet. It' is based off my Sport Trainer though. It's basically just a larger longer version with a boxed fuselage.

  • Could you have a look and see how mach it would coast to send to New Zealand Wellington

  • @158Blackops I think I'm going to pass. I just don't have quite enought time to make and ship one right now.

  • could you make me one

  • @158Blackops How much would you pay me?

  • @MikeysRC Hello there I would pay you around about $90 dollars

  • @158Blackops I think the problem would be shipping to you. If you were my neighbor I'd make you one but how to ship it would be very difficult and expensive. My email is very east you find on my website.

  • Great vid! The plane looks great. Thanks!

  • also did you make your own DIY patch antenna?

  • That truly is amazing. i am wanting to build a plane with a camera with just base materials like you did. two questions- What kind of camera are you using and where can i get it? and how did you hook up the camera to the video screen? VERY good work.

  • Do you have a diversity controller to link the patch antenna with the omni-directional antenna? How do you fly around yourself without loosing reception with the narraw angled patch antenna?

  • @noxnflame No diversity. Just one receiver and antenna. I'm not sure why it works so well. I never really flew that far from myself so perhaps at really close range the receiption is OK even with an patch antenna. The footage in this video was frmo an HD camon the plane not from video transmition to me on the ground.. That's why it looks so clear.

  • Hey Mickey... First of all, congrats on your video... FPV is awesome! I just "met" FPV RC last week and I'm in love with it... Could you tell us what FPV gear are you using ? Tx/Rx, Transmit power, camera, etc... Thanks !

  • dude u make my day.........new dreams ..

can u plzz tell me how u make the plane indetail...plzz make a tutorial. u r awosme.

  • This is amazing. And it looks like you found a great low budget way of doing it all. Are your "scaled up" plans available for download? Mind telling me how much you have invested in your setup?

    Excellent work!

  • great vid..... only one complaint i think it would be better to have a soothing sountrack without the engine or wind noise on it apart from that very well done

  • where is this.....I would love to do some hinking in this area. Great video.

  • of all the fpv's ive seen on youtube i would have to say this was the most interesting one of them all. Very nice scenery very well flown .....

  • does the plane run on battery or fuel?(engein)

  • @satvikjadhav4 electric

  • How far do you think the plane could go without losing the live feed video??

  • Where do you get the fpv stuff ur using, wat stuff are you using for fpv, and can you do a video on how to hook up the fpv system? Thanks, Jordan!!! Looks awesome!!!

  • @lamborghinicorvette I got the stuff from futurehobbies. com Yes I will be doing videos of how to set it all up soon.

  • how much does this plane weigh?

  • @Capriboy1972 With absoutly EVERYTHING on the plane including FPV gear, battery and HD camera it's weighs about 1300 grams or 2.8 pounds or 46oz

  • @MikeysRC Thanks :) i am running 2 x 1000kv with 9x4.5 props weighing around 800grams/29oz (using md80 camera. still to flight test (once the Scottish weather gives me a good day!!)

  • how much foes each plane cost ?

  • @ahmedmavric Materials to make the planes are $10

  • nice video.

    small question

how much did the FPV cost you ?

  • @ahmedmavric About $350

  • awesome... nice view

I really like when these little planes have a camera to film all their flight

    nice job

  • great

  • Excellent video, beautiful view.

    Where was this filmed?

  • @thechoosendude Eastern hills of SF bay area.

  • @GHANDYTAMASH maybe in the future.

  • hey man this a beautiful view. i gotta give it to u up there all by yourself.

  • @daddydaze8 Cool...thanks man =)

  • I like it, soon as I get some more money I think i wil invest in the FPV gear!

Really imagine making a helmit with a screen it, you would really feel like your flying!

You could almost sell tickets to people who want to fly but stay on the ground!

  • are you able to see this live on your equipment as the plane is flying?

  • @NoobyRC yes

  • @NoobyRC yes

  • Nice Job Mikey - Love your videos

  • Great stuff! Is that a homemade patch antenna?

  • @BeeZee2 Yeah...sho is =)

  • Hi Mike,

Great stuff as usual. Are you going to explore the technology of watching through

the on board camera as you fly? I'm sure there is a name for that but I don't know it. Like live FPV. ? ?

  • @edibill514 Yes....infact I had my FPV equipment on this plane.

  • @MikeysRC

Awesome..can you do a vid detailing your equipment. I'd love to get set up for that but would like a good practical guide to the equipment needed. In the world of "good and pactical" you're a God.!!!!

  • Great video. Quite a hike to bring us this. Btw,can you describe your FPV gear in a little more detail? What camera, what type of transmitter, etc.

  • Really nice video Will, this motivates us to keep going... you have really nice places where you live.... regards!

  • nice vid!!

  • Nice work Will. Keep it up!

  • where u get the wire less video gear from?

great video and nice flying john

  • @justfly60482 I got the FPV gear from Futurehobbies dot com

  • Fantastic!!

  • Awesome video Will. Thanks for sharing!

  • Wow! That was great. It's like that dream where you're flying. Now if I just had a sandwich...then it would be perfect!!!

  • are you gonna have pdf plans for this soon?

  • that looks REALY nice!!

  • you have some really NICE shots:)

  • Very entertaining as always Nice plane. The HD was awesome.

  • Nice, you used some music:) Are you using that FPV screen much? Maybe putting the screen at the end of a box, and then putting your face in that box would be like FPV goggles. On second thought, you'd look like a box head and it would be pretty damn uncomfortable! Nice video,

    -Sunny

  • Once again another successful flight. What kind of camera are you using? I am looking into getting one but I am concerned with weight.

    Cheers

  • niiiiiiice

  • Awesome. Just Awesome.

  • Great work mate and you did well with that build as it fits the job really well and man what a place to fly from ;-) it's always good to see some people making the most of where they live so thumbs up as always.

  • If Youtube would not have changed I would have given 5 star rating! Now I put "like" only, but I really liked this clip. Beautiful scenery, good recording and nice flying. I am exploring hat cam recordings myself, try to improve my skills. As I see I have a long way to go. Anyhow such nice clips give me "extra fuel" for continuing. RC is a great hobby, thank you for sharing!

  • WOW thanks for sharing, what a fantastic location, glad you made the effort. I love your work, very inspiring!

  • You couldn't have picked a better spot! what a beautiful location that is. Looks like the plane flew like you expected it to fly. Great design and cool video looking forward to more.

  • Wow, what a great place!

But I've got one question: In the onboard footage I don't see anybody standing next to you. So who did the shootings that show the plane fly around?

  • such a beautiful scenery

  • What a beautiful place to fly. I´m a little jealous;-) ...and a very nice plane to.

    Great job

    Stephan

  • Fantastic .. the best RC air footage by far ! Great views and the smooth controlling makes it very nice to watch ! Inspriring .. you made me check the build of this plane ;-) Keep 'm coming ! Mark.

  • Watching your vids makes me want to build one of these and give it a go!

  • cool nice vid

    grtzzz

  • you should do some flights over at the Golden Gate Park or over on the beach by the Golden Gate, or even better yet, Santa Cruz Boardwalk.

  • Excellent video, great scenery. Plane flies really will makes me want to build one. Great job Mike.

  • Nice footage, really like it

What kind of camera you have on the plane to take the video? aren't you afraid you will crash with some expensive equipment onboard?

  • Applause, I've been watching the live shows, and was excited for this video, very pleased, and it looked like you had lots of fun too! Keep on goin', and have fun while yo're at it!

  • where is this place?

  • that plane seems to fly really well!

  • Very Nice!

  • Cool Vid Mikey. Awesome flying site too! keep up the good work!

    Paul

  • Awesome visuals, plane flies real nice :-)

  • Cool location, too bad video isn't in HD even though title says HD in it. Wish I had someplace like that locally, just corn fields and more corn fields around me.

  • @MikeysRC Yea, I watched way too soon, awesome views. Thanks man.
