As to the people bashing her because she imitated Sarah Brightman, have you ever heard the saying that "imitation is the sincerest form of flattery"? You don't know Meyra's intentions, by imitating Sarah she might have been giving her a complement. Don't accuse before you know, and I'm saying that from personal experience.

I was there that evening. They both were wonderful :)) It was an amazing concert. She is the best soprano in Turkey now. Her new album is beautiful. She has a duet with Mario in her cd.

Wow, she thinks she's Sarah Brightman.....this is ridiculous..  The hand gestures are identical and she even tries to do the Sarah and Andrea Bocelli thing where she leans on his shoulder. She needs to come up with her own style and songs instead of copying someone else's. I love Mario though! He is great!

Yeah, Meyra might be a copycat, but at least she sings LIVE!! Unlike Sarah Brightman who lip-synchs to EVERY tour and "live'' performance.

She lost her voice due to altering her natural timbre while trying to sound/imitate a sound that her vocal cords couldn't support. When Sarah sings live she sounds like crap (the Pie Jesu at the Brit Awards for ex.). Sad but true. :(

Yeah, uhm, that was back in 1997 when Sarah could sing live. Nowadays she can't even pull off that song live. I mean, did u see Bocelli's Lajatico concert from 2007? She was the ONLY artist that consented to miming, Canto was mimmed, and TTSG too. While other artists tend to sing live, Sarah has become the mother of playback performances. Bottom line: When it comes to live performances, it's not about the style nor personality, it's about the VOICE.
