  • ugh she need to explain better!!! and i have anger issues this in not good for me

  • these videos are amazing im going to buy my first knitting kit and get started!! :)

  • okay i am SO CONFUSED! this made no sense to me AT ALL

  • @courn2011 me too

  • THANK u so much i was having a lot of trouble casting off

  • great tutorial!!!! I like the step by step instructions. :) makes knitting for a beginner like myself not seem as over whelming!

  • O.O

On my second row, I somehow added a stitch....

  • @grendle7 ...lol.. me too o-O

  • @DeweyManloveJr um ew...thats messed up....

  • everytime i slide the old stitch off i just end up with unravelled yarn on the right needle and no stitch :s help!

  • i got the first row but how do i get the 2nd row?

  • Thanks, I now know how to knit :)

  • Yay! I've always said I wish I could knit, now I can! Hooray!

  • This taught me how to knit! Thank you sooo much!!!!!!!!

  • This doesn't fucking work.

  • What if both ends of the string end on the same side of the kneedle once i'm finished with the knit stitch? :(

  • @madelinefrancis what is the point of that? i learned from this video, why did you say that?

  • @sugarless82 everyone is entitled to thier own opinion.

  • @ emlovesbeauty...I totally have! LOL

  • So far, the best video I've seen for beginning knitters.

  • Very good, I've now learned how to

    Knit:)

  • At first, I thought the green guy is a lady.

    1:40

  • @1stSecretInvaderEve Not really green guy. The guy with green shirt.

  • great explanation! some of the others i've seen were such low quality, i couldn't see what they were doing. this was great!! thanks so much!

  • why is the girl so gorgeous?

  • very clear thank you

  • me and my yarn are NOT friends. she never behaves! i tried to but she always gets off my needle and makes me angry.

  • Ok i've watched and watched, are you putting the needle through both ends on the bottom of the stitches or just through one because when i put it through both and continued the pattern and i pull away the stitch comes out as if I did nothing. What am I doing wrong? Your video is the best way I have learned how to knit thus far.

  • It was a very useful lesson for me. Thank you madam

  • It was a very useful lesson fr me. Thank you madam

  • has anyone ever wondered how the first person who knitted something figured this out..

  • @emlovesbeauty lol. totally.

  • @emlovesbeauty I think about that kind of stuff all the time. Like... who figured out you could curl hair with a flat iron? Or who figured out how to make friendship bracelets?

  • @seattlegrobanite I thought I was the only one . lol

  • HOW DID I GET HERE!?!?!?

  • OMG You didn't give enough DETAILS! I FRAKEN DIDN'T LEARN ANYTHING OFF OF THIS THANKS FOR NOTHING!!!! >:O

  • that mean that you're dumb, i never saw a knitting video more detailed than this one

  • @BloodyTeardropRose I believe the whole sentence was just one big mistake. Your Grammar, is the same level a First Grader would have. Its "That means you're dumb, i have never seen a knitting.. etc" You can't spell and obviously you can't see. Its not detailed Enough. So Goodbye... 5 year old.

  • @MsBrowniesRule

Sorry for that, I was ment to reply to someone who said that it is not detailed enough but I made a mistake. I was in a hurry writting this and then when I realised that I simply commented instead of replying I tried to delete the comment but I didn't know how so I just left it like that. This video was actually really helpful and I loved it. Sorry again, really sorry.

  • @BloodyTeardropRose I am the person who said it wasn't detailed enough.... so why are you saying sorry? >.<

  • The to boys in the class are either gay or there to pick up chics!

  • fuk this im fnigerknitting!

  • this lady suck ballllllsss

  • Everyone who is giving up.. just keep at it, you wont start out good at it and if you do then good for you lol... but dont give up just keep repeating what your doing learn one stitch at a time and dont try to do fancy stuff at first ... and it wont start to look good until you have ten or more rows and youll find you niche and your own way to do it and it gets so easy and actually fun

  • I can cast like no one's business, but when it comes to transferring it over to the second stitch, i can't get it! I can wrap the yarn around the back and between, but pulling the stitch is where everything goes awry... great video though!

  • The only thing i have a problem with is getting the stick THOUGH the stitch! My yarn keep braking up and twisting!

  • I can do step 1 but my knit stitch looks kinder fuked up, u wod not even now i was knitting :( knitting is like 1 of the hardest things in life!!

  • Fuck it. I can't knit even if my life depended on it.

My stitches keep twisting around the needle and/or my rows don't even look like I was knitting.

  • I CAN'T FIGURE THIS OUT OH MY GOD

  • I was doing a different cast on techigue leaving me with a gap between needles.... then I found your method. THANK YOU ! No problem now.

  • this is why we have youtube to show u how to do stuff! i love youtube <3

  • I realise this video is almost three years old, but thanks so much! I'm 25, and have never knit a day in my life, but I want to start so I can add a more diverse product range to my etsy store. This video, is great, most of the others are simply video tutorials and have no dialog. I'm more of a visual learner, but I need to listen as I watch or else I can't absorb the information properly. Thanks so much!

  • you are awesome !!!!!!!!!!!

  • thanku

  • every time i knit their are always stiches that add on so instead od 10 1 had 15 then 20 and now 23 any idea why cause i watched the video again and i amm doing fine

  • thank you thank you..thank you so much ... super video. im doing it for the first time. i made a beautiful square .. best video ive ever seen based on knitting..

  • THANK YOU SO MUCH!!! I AM A BEGINNER AND YOU ARE MAKING THIS VERY EASY FOR ME TO LEARN!!!! I LOVE KNITTING!!!!! :)

  • Does it make a difference on what size knitting needles to use for beginniners.

  • @1975ccoleman no, but it does matter in how loose you want the loops, the bigger/wider the needle the loopy it will be , say for a net or mesh. if you use slimmer needle then tighter it would be , and would be used for socks.

  • wow! i love this video... ^^

  • this may have saved my life!

  • wow took me awhile but i got there

  • im grama showed me how but i 4got so i came here ans i 1st made a coster and i used penciles with my grama

  • i see why not of those teens ever make mistakes

  • i meant i see why none of the teens ever make mistakes

  • i got it in less then a minute :)

  • I got it now!! Thank u soo much my aunt is going to hav a baby soon so I'm tryin to make a scarf and now I can I didn't think I can do it bcuz I'm only 12

  • I cnt do the second stitch :(

  • I don't understand where the loop comes from. I wrapped the string around and then I try to "catch" the loop, but I don't know what loop it is talking about!!

  • My yarn dosen't want to befriend me T_T

  • AGH. GOSH. I must be stupid or something. I CAN'T DO THE SSECOND STITCH.

  • @CreativeGirl102 lol I'm 12 too!

  • I didn't have knitting needles so I used chop sticks.. :)

  • @sushiisawesomeXD looool

  • @sushiisawesomeXD ; lol me too

  • @sushiisawesomeXD Me too. I just made the tip sharp by a ordinary sharpener.

  • @sushiisawesomeXD Haha no way, I'm using chop sticks too! I even made the tips a little sharper with a knife :)

  • @sushiisawesomeXD i'm doing that right now! :)

  • I had to unwrap my whole piece of work because my binding off wouldn't work

    :(

  • i just started today and this video is so AMAZING and helpful! i thought knitting would bee so HARD , just because im 12

  • i love this video!!!! i learned how to knit the day before, but i had trouble, but know im making things for everyone in the family. i even made my own store. just for my family!!!!! I LOVE IT!!!!!

  • i think 3 minutes ago i think i did 60 stitches on my first line

  • Thank you so much I felt a big sense of accomplishment when i was able to knit that small rectangle!

  • This video is great but at the beginning why was the "tail" at the front? Mine's at the back

  • i must be really dumb because I cant get to the second row

  • thanks for your help,

    i'm still learning,

    Lori

  • One problem that I have encountered is: once I have 'casted on' and it's time to transfer to the 2nd needle, sometimes I have a gap of yarn between the needles. Meaning, stitches are on one needle and as I am transferring, I have maybe 4 inches of yarn in between. Does anyone know what I'm talking about?

  • thx sooooooooooooooo much i just got my yarn and knitting needles last night and this helped me alot soo............................ THANK YOU!!!!!!!

  • This is a god send. Im just learning how to knit and had no clue how to start. The books and other videos that I watched made it look complicated but this didn't. I love it Thanks for putting it on

  • ive never thoguht knitting was soo easy!!! THANKS SOO MUCH!!!!!

  • vøll_geïl_lèUtê_sücht_mãl_ñÁch:_olikohle_Auf_gøOglÊ_vÓll_gëïl

  • Soooooo cheeesy!!! lol but it helped :)

  • Thank you. I havent knitted in many years and I am glad you gave this tutorial. It looks easy as I remember. Best wishes.

  • Now can you make a video to show how to even tie the knot and start it off 4 the 1str needle , If you one already . . . . What is the title of it and where can it be found ? ? ? ? ?

  • @BeautyRush1231 Okay! Making the slip knot is really easy! All you do is wrap your string around your middle finger and your index finger, okay? Then take the 'top piece of yarn' and pull it to the bottom, do that one more time and then take the top one and slip it off your fingers and pull the loop. I think it is pretty easy. If you don't like that, just make a knot on your needle.

  • @AvaGoldy Thank's that realluy helped . . & Do you have a toturial of how to knit a flower ? Because I am making a purse & I want 2 flowers for it .

  • i know yesterday i cant get knitting...but now i can get waaa ....its so easy & so simple...thanks for the video... :)

  • ive been trying for a while. but every time i get to this part adn pull the casting stich offf it jsut unwravels ):> its very discouraging..

  • I tried, but why does hers look so nice, and mine look like the result of a dyslexic, one-armed monkey???

  • @355kitty - It's hard to say without looking at it, but remember the part in this video where she said to be careful to keep the yarn in front of your work when switching needles, instead of in back? It may be that that's how you picked up some extra stitches. I'm not sure how to fix it. You may have to find a real-life knitter for help on that. Good luck!

  • wow that made it so easy for me thank you for uploading

  • i am trying for like 12 hours (im a boy) but i just cant even cast on.. it keeps tangling up :(

  • @Kiddolioable - It really is tough at first, contrary to what she tells you in this video. Make sure that your yarn is smooth and straight. If you've been working with the same length of yarn over and over (and pulling it out to start over) it may be coming unraveled and is twisting. Also, make sure that you are working with big enough needles in the beginning; this can make a difference, too. Try to keep the yarn loose as you work, too. And finally, be patient with yourself. You'll get it!

  • i wana learn to knit but i dont have any.

  • @sprinklemuffins Yes you can make a full length scarf from the knit stitch. :)

  • Thanks a lot for sharing this video with us.

I learn quite alot from this video. GBU.

  • So after the seventh row, she's just giving an example of a bind off right? You don't have to stop there right?

  • @sprinklemuffins prob not...

  • Wish the camera angle would stay in one place

  • I don't understand... Does the bind off have to be after the 7th row or can you keep going to make the scarf longer?

  • What size Needles is this or does that matter?

  • @supergirlfan18 i think the bigger the needles the bigger the stitch so it doesnt really matter

  • yes! i did it but do i transfer stitches 7 times only? or more

  • Holy Crap. I hate the way she talks l:(

It's taking a little more effort to learn from these videos while they're muted, but it's definitely worth it.

  • This is the only video of the series that confuses me :U

  • is it necessary to bind off while you're working? or can i continue to just keep knitting and bind off whenever i feel like?

  • omgg i hate this

  • i hate being a lefty. fml

  • i dont really get it becuese she kinds of goes fast so i had to start over so maybe go a little slow and make sure that where getting it

  • my stitchs keep falling apart when I try to put them on the second needle. Why? and how can I fix this? please help.

  • At times I really hate being a left handed person, it makes things so much harder.

  • why does my yarn keep extending then i pull out?

  • I love you guys. never easier. now I did my first knit stitch.

I always wondered how to do that but after watching these gorgeous babes i did my own one. (k)

  • I still don't understand ?!?

Learn't how to start but can't do this...

  • i learned knitting a loooong time ago... but i learned that the first stitch you don't knit, you just move it unto the needle, otherwise it expands on the sides (which it really did). you do knit the first one. please explain?

  • This is SO helpful! For the row counter thing I just got a free app from iTunes and I was on my way.

  • yes this video is a little cheesy but it really works and is super easy to follow. One of the best I have found. Bring on the cheese.

  • wow! so easy to understand!!! o.O

  • thank you soooooooooooo much!!!! i learned almost everything i know about knitting from these videos!!! :D

  • ok i didn't get any of that i have never knited in my entire life

  • Fantastic video! Can't believe anyone had any trouble with this. I've never touched a knitting needle in my life, this video happened to be the first one I stumbled on, lucky for me. :) Never imagined knitting could be so simple. Thanks so much for posting!!!

  • @anonloveylove i been wanting to knit a scarf or so and i must admit knitting is better than sewing because if you messed up somewhere, you can just pull the yarn out instead clogging

  • Great clip, thanks. I have found ebeginnersknitting (.) com to be very helpful also

  • I caught onto this so easily! I just barely got my needles and yarn today, and in the next 5 minutes I was knitting like a pro!

  • thanks for replaying to me.

  • are you guys doing good over there?? NOOOOO!!!!!! ~X(

  • I can't do this, I am paralyzed by LUST. :D

    Damnation she's hot.

  • After watching countless videos, this is the only one that helped me to start. Thanks so much!

  • these videos have really helped me! THANK YOU!
