  • That is Fats Domino doing session work early in his career.

  • @RockandRollFriday EXACTLY.....BUT SOMEONE SAID IT WASNT...BUT I KNEW IT WAS...LIKE U SAY...WHO ELSE ROCKS A PIANO LIKE FATS.....NOBODY...AND I MEAN NOBODY......

  • @RockandRollFriday O OK...I THOUGHT IT WAS....THANX

  • @pjdoowop SOUNDS JUST LIKE FATS..AND WOW..IF IT AINT HIM..THAT PIANO PLAYER GETS DOWN....

  • SOUNDS LIKE FATS DOMINOE ON PIANO....AM I WRONG???

  • I can hear the similarity, but I don't think it's Fats.

  • @XXXXLOWRIDERXXXX I THOUGHT IT WAS...I KNEW IT...THANX..

  • @XXXXLOWRIDERXXXX But you know for sure it was cut in N.O.

Could be Fats; he played on a lot of sessions as did Huey Smith.

  • from mighty bo young see youtube:

Bo Bye Bye Baby 1.4.11 "Speak Up Jam

  • WHO THE HECK GAVE THIS A THUMBS DOWN??? U MUST BE BORDERLINE RETARDED TO GIVE A THUMBS DOWN....GOTTA LUV THIS SONG

  • I love this version. It just swings.

  • There are at least two versions of Price's recording. This one, the best one, is "raw-er" than a later, more polished version. Also, Fats Domino is on this one, but not the other.

  • great song,

    great upload,

    great seventyeight.

  • Thank you, thank you, thank you :)

  • An old time classic sung by one of the all time R & B artists, this is what music is all about ...

    El Nuno

  • This was when he was good, before they gave him songs like "Personality"

  • I have to agree that his stint at ABC produced some of his weaker efforts, although the did have some fantastic flip sides on ABC (for instance, check out Never Let Me Go). I think his strongest material came before and after his stint at ABC

  • I only have this on a reissue 45. It's not even a Specialty reissue (which are common, and not cheap because morons are selling them off as originals), mine is on Collectables....wish i could find a Specialty copy though...either way it's a killer record -- give the flipside a spin!

  • Specialty reissues should be cheap. Before you buy a Specialty do some research on it. Sometimes the opposite has happened where an original was sold as if it was a reissue. I went to a record store a few years back and bought a pretty rare Specialty 45. It was sent to the store from Specialty in a shipment of reissues but it was actually an original pressing. My guess is it was left in the warehouse all of these years.

  • Boy, this is a classic!!! Lloyd Price ya got my vote. Thanks for this musical gem.

  • GREAT

  • Just one example of the prejudice of the radio stations in those days would be the major stations playing Pat Boone's version of "Aint that a Shame", and all the teenagers listened to "Fats Domino's version on the independent stations.....

  • Great history. Thank you

  • The major radio stations would not play these kinds of songs back in the early 50s...However, all of us High School teenagers got around it by listening to them on the smaller independent stations like WHOD out of Homestead Pa, who were not affiliated with CBS NBC or Mutual,.with Porky Chedwick playing them....

  • now this is what im talking about.sounds tight!*****

  • Actually my liner notes on this song show this info, Price, Lloyd- Lawdy Miss Clawdy- (Fats Domino piano) 1952 Specialty

  • Didn't know Fats was playing piano on this but it doesn't surprise me one bit

  • Smart track,.ktf.

  • Love Lloyd, plus he lives near me, lol

  • Really? I didn't realize Lloyd was still around. That's very good news :)

  • Yes, He lives in Stamford, Ct, I see him at the Bowling Alleys on Wed. Nights. He's big in his Food Industry now. He does a concert maybe once a year.

  • Pure class my friend!
