this ending doesn't have to be sad. ppl will always die at a time no matter what, just when and how. maybe jing tien was supposed to live till a hundred years old, but his lifetime is cut short for 30 years, he could still be w/ xuejian till he's 70. doesn't necessarily mean he has to drop dead right away.

Well at least it a lot of the characters survived at the end and the two got to stay together. I hated the ending of the original Chinese Paladin where everyone except the main guy died. It seemed so pointless to have this long story and then kill off all the characters.

Didn't Jing Tian say that he'd die for everybody else to live? Did The Heaven Emperor grant him some time to live before dying or something? Is that why he scream 'I don't want to leave' at the end? So he has a kid with the girl and then dies? and then the kid goes on to the story of Chinese Paladin 1? These stories that hop around in time always confuse me. I have a hard time connecting all the dots.

er.....we don't no, at least I don't no that jingtian has a kid......any way, even if they have a kid...he is still one hundred years old than xiaoyao. Be sure that you no season 1 happened 100 years after season 3. Indeed, there are no direct relationships between the characters in season 1 and season 3 except zhaolinger is zixuan's granddaughter.
