Of course, you never know whether everything you read is true, but there is no smoke without fire, as they say. What matters is Lennon left a great legacy. The music will live forever. As for reading books as an Elvis fan I know how unreliable biographys are and I read over 100. Theres no one book that tells the whole truth. I had to read plenty and do a lot of reading between the lines to get to that. And even then its not the whole truth and nothing but .. There were a lot of contradictions about Lennon but he was a one off. And like Macca once said you've got to be thankful they stood for PEACE.

This is very 'Beatlesque' (which was obviously the point), and yet at the same time it is so clearly Stevie Riks - that makes it particularly brilliant, in my opinion, and absolutely unique, as most impersonations are mere copies, with little or none of the impersonators' personality in there. That might be makes it more pleasing than the original - its not an exact copy - Stevie doesn't go into Abbey Rd and have other members of the band to spark off or George Martin on the controls. You can hear the distinctive voices of Paul George and John and the harmonys are closer than the Beatles version because Stevies doing them all. Which might mean Paul is a bit quieter and George is a bit more in tune..Another thing thats different - theres no Ringo crashing cymbols - Thank fook. lol

Well he got it right it is "another Gem" But its a tad unrealistic to expect everything to be exactly as it was in the original. Who'd want that anyway? Its an impression by a MASTER not a copy by a dodgy old forger. We'd be here all year if we critqued Macca whenever he revisits the Beatles originals. Every note would be "Bit out there mate" lol And I think Stevie sounds more like Macca than Macca does these days. And I'm a huge McCartney fan.

I don't think he does Beatle Paul's singing very well on most tunes - his older Paul is much better. He nails "Winter Rose".
