Do you get enough of a sample from one bug? Also, Does extracting the blood kill the bug?

You get 1-2 mililiters from the bug so it is sufficient. And the extraction is done with care so the bug can live afterwards.

@jlbass86 The blood stays clean for up to 2 hours after consumption, so there is plenty of time to extract it for analysis.

Yeah well, it might seem odd. But these bugs have been breeded clean from the disease so they can be used for blood sampling.
