  • great vid, very informative

  • I notice, you don't apply oil liberally into the magazine after cleaning it. New magazines come almost soaked in oil. Have you had any problems with your follower getting sticky or gummed up, even after cleaning?

  • @falconhusky I don't have any problems with the followers sticking. I do try my best to keep the magazines as clean as possible. The new magazines come like that to prevent rusting while the magazines are sitting in storage or on the shelf in a store.

  • how long do you keep ur mags loaded?

    do you rotate mags?

  • @FuLLMetALJackET308 I keep them loaded all the time. I do have another set of magazines which I am planning to use so I can rotate them. I also plan to get new springs for the old mags if I can.

  • Do you have an after-market slide release lever?

  • No. That is the stock slide release that was supplied with my firearm.

  • Do you have any reservations of using hollow points in your mags?...I've heard people say that they only use 1 hollow point for in the chamber and then use just regular rounds for the rest of the mag because they say the hollow points have problems feeding,...is this true?

  • I have no problem using hollow point ammo in any of my carry guns. Almost all modern firearms will be able to readily feed hollow point ammo.

  • I got a p2256 about a week ago and i was upset that the mag capacity was only 10..is there some king of staggered mag you can get that holds more like maybe 15 that doesnt stick out of the gun

  • The P226 in 9mm can accept 15 round magazines that fit flush with the grip. As long as they are legal to own in your area 15 round magazines should not be a problem to find.

  • Great video, very helpful. And I think I am your 800th subscriber. Congrats!

  • thanks....i just got a p226...im excited to shoot it....keep the vids coming

  • Thank you.

  • Just out of curiosity, how often do you detail strip your sig for full-magnitude maintenance?

  • I'm not certified as an armorer so I do not break down my pistol beyond what SIg describes as "feild strip". If you do break it down further and do not assemble it correctly and something happens then you void the warranty. So I don't break it down any further for that reason.

I would like to become a certified armorer eventually, but I just don't have the time right now.

  • How many magazines were you issued with your service pistol ?

    Once again, great video

  • I received 3 magazines with my service weapon. I did purchase more magazines so I can rotate them, or incase I have some sort of issue with one of them.

    Thank you for watching.

  • Good Video. Personal i dont use solvent on mags because it removes a very thin coat of oil = mags can rust. My HK P30 mags dont rust but my CZ 75 SP-01 Shadow mags rust, they is store side by side in the vault. The CZ mags is oiled and then dryed with a cloth = very thin coat of oil. Cleaning is done with runing a Arredondo mag brush true them if dropped in sand.

  • Thank you.

Everyone has their own little ways of keeping their own gear maintained, this is just my way.

    Thank you for watching.

    Stay safe out there!
