nice vid, I only do have a problem, my cube is a standard edition. You explained that you can move the U-layer with your pointing finger. my cube isnt smooth enough to do that. As i said before i have a standard cube. I dont really get the tiles of the cube to get to the screws to make it a bit untighter. Do you have tips to get the tiles off its not a really DIY speedcube :P

Solving the same color every time is the fastest way. Using a different color for your cross makes the cross faster, but the rest of the solve becomes slower due to recognition times.  Even the worst possible cross shouldn't take more than a second or two.

@PokefanDP IT has nothing to do with OCD.... its just how some people annoyingly tell you to always practice on the same side. Trust me, it kinda sucks. My friends are all non- color neutral, but luckily i never learned to do it like that

@minime1235able its not as much OCD as it is just getting used to which colors should be where. Like i solve white first. Making yellow be the side on the bottom and in turn making it the color that i look at always when solving the cube. If you start with another side you're not used to looking at the opposite color. I can solve it with other colors first it just makes it easier to always solve white.

I used ansell glow in the dark, non spermicidal, sensation increasing, sexual lubricant. in the glow in the dark bottle- not the gell! (do not be fooled by the advertising- read the small print!!). anyways, it seems to work great at first but eventually it gets gooey and stickey, so i wouldnt advise it. i need to try silicone spray for sure.

i first sanded my rubiks cube .....i just sanded the whole cube damn hard (other than the stickers ofcourse)............and then a day later sprayed it with Heavy Duty silicone spray............now its amazingly smooth.speedcube.!.........my friend did not sand his cube and used vasaline and now hes actually jealous of my cube.....cause vaseline really sucked hard on his cube.

It's a cube that you can actually "remove" the center pieces, and there's a screw there which you can tighten/loosen... I just got my DIY cube and it's good! My new record : 1min 04sec. The DIY set comes with a cube, a guide on how to fix the cube, 2 screw drivers, + and -, and lubrication.

Actually DIY stands for do it yourself. DIY cubes are generally less expensive because they do not come assembled or with the stickers on, but are much faster because store bought cube tend to have tight springs when you buy them(not always, sometimes you can get a horrible store bought cube and sometimes you get an amazing one)a DIY cube is assembled yourself therefore letting you choose the tension of your own cube, thus customizing or personalizing it. ;nice little neat reply, huh?
