What's the max it will go through? Can it go through a 1 inch piece of hard wood? Also I never had a pellet gun, so I don't know this, but do you have to manually load a single pellet everything you shoot? And can you also shoot BB's with this?

the screwed on tip does act as a sound reducer not exactly a silencer but it reduces sound an keeps your rifle from sounding like a 22 and also acts as a weight to help break the barrel i luv this gun its a beast and i got min for 70.00 brand new but im not telling from where and not airgun depot refurbs. :)

I have the same gun, I was wondering, the first 3 shots sounded like a 22 rifle. from then on it sounds like an airgun. Did yours do that when it was new? I took the first one back because I thought it broke

thats just the oil in the compession chamber vaporizing and yes mine did that too. It also does it when you put oil in the compression chamber

dude u dont know how to put a gun away whats so ever. first you should NEVER NEVER store ammo with the weapon wich CAN BE DANGEROUS 4 untrained shooters. every thing else is fine but dude never store ammo wit the gun!! Not to be rude or anything about what i just said but really keep that in mind ;) all in all, good review of the gun!!

whats the difference between phantom g1 xtreme and g1 xtreme?

the g1 is a little older by mabye a couple months but sine that is true you can find very good deals and kits with them, witch is what i did. oh and the phantom comes in more veriaties like iron sights and silver barrels.

I've heard that the locking mechanism for the barrel (where it breaks) is poor and that it easily pops open because it's made of plastic washers, is that true? any problems with the barrel being unsturdy?

i owned a G1 for about 8 months and use it quite frequently. so far it hasn't broke. but i do see where people are coming from, it was a little flimsy. i am glad i bought the riffle, its a decent gun for 100 dollars. the scope itself is a good deal.

PBA (performance ballistics alloy) pellets will increase speen greatly but will slightly decrease your accuracy due to the light pellet. it will drift more than say, a 8 or 10 grain pellet

did you ever take it apart? If you just change the spring to an ox spring, you will get alot more velocity. An ox spring can damage other rifles but not this one. There are alot of easy mods you can do to this particular rifle for both acuracy and power.

no need to post a video. google crosman phantom tuning for instructions on how to dismantle it. Order the spring over the net. Also, enlarge the transfer port to 0.125'' with a 1/8 drill bit ( use a drill bit made to cut threw steel of course and be careful not to break it in the hole. It need an ox spring no. 2 !!
