I was at this show and it was a seminal moment for me in the history of my love of rock music. Hearing of Clarence's passing tonight makes me realize how important he was in that memory. R.I.P. Big Man. You are loved. xox
Love this song - just heard it in Fort Lauderdale along with Backstreets in the same show. When the Piano comes in the intro I always know it is a special night to hear Jungleland.
@trapper2 Oh what a voice, only listen to Bruce voice and start dreaming. At this time he was really The Boss. What a powerful voice. But your are right too, the Proffessor and the Big Man, the best suond they ever had in the 80´s, my absolute favorite time of Bruce and The E Street Band.
One of, if not, the best Springsteen song ever. EVER. And at about the 1:57 min mark you can hear the agreement of thousands of fans!
Sure there are the ballads and the rockers and the songs that are just plain more fun, but this one has it all.
The biggest hole in the Live 75-85 box set from the 80's, and a very large hole at that, is that this song was not in it. Get a copy of Hammersmith Live and it's got a great version. That whole CD is great.
little steven left in the 80's for just a lil while so that he could pursue a career as a solo muscisian (yknow he can sing too) and he had lots of bands he'd play with with bruce as a guest or himself as the sideman so he pursued it but to no succes then bruce got huge with born in the usa and nils lofgren who we see in this video joined since that album on and now little steven rejoined
Keep it angry Bruce!

R.I.P. Big Man. You have served your time on earth and have brought us a sound like no other. The day the saxophone died...

One of the best ensemble pieces this band ever did. This was perhaps the Big Man and Professor Roy's finest moment..

this is so "real"... It doesn't get better than this. Except for the 70's versions.

Have to agree. Those 70's versions are just crazy. Best song ever personally

Roy bittans incredible intro of Jungleland during an encore on a concert must be the most uplifting feeling there is!
