well,im sure this guy is good at martial arts,but question is is he a good actor? can he speak english?

we will wait and see,but most hit movies come from the western companies,they have high expectations that includes good speech/physical features/acting skills/and the ability to just kick ass!

if jackie says this guy is good,then he probably is,i just hope they took EVERYTHING into consideration when choosing the winner

Actually Jackie went to Xin personally to take him under his wing anyways but Xin refused...Getting respect from Jackie was enough that Xin wanted. He ended up doing American Gladiators and that lasted a short while.

Well I saw american gladiator for the while that it was on Air...and watched Xin...But the info about getting respect from Jackie I think Xin told me...either that or It was on his myspace...Im sure it was on myspace..

Well... that's the thing right? JC has all the money in the world to throw around. and Jackie IS one of the best choreographers. He tends to stick with his core stunt team, and if these guys can get in , they have one hell of a team. If he can give them major roles in his side projects or cast as main villian/side kicks in his own movies then these guys have a brighter future than they already have. What they do AFTER the contract ends is where it get's interesting.

xin is nothing but a one trick monkey and he does not speak a word of chinese. the winner they picked is right because the guy is trained in traditional martial arts and speak chinese

So? What's it to anyone if he doesn't speak chinese? The fact is, he is damned good. He willingly does stunts that no other martial artists attempts, and he's got an incredible erray of talents to back himself up. It's no wonder he's cocky, he really is that good.

hmmm, sometimes it takes more than a good stunt man to win this kind of constest. it helps a lot if he speaks chinese because the program it self is made for the chinese market

Xin also trained originally in traditional martial arts. If you go to the EMC website he lists all the different styles he's trained in. EMC and all the tricking he now does came far after that, and he does it mainly because that's what makes him famous. He wouldn't be as known as he is now if he had just stuck with traditional martial arts.

youtube famouse means practically crap, if he is trained in so many types of martial arts, how come the only thing he showed is thai boxing in show, another problem is his language barrier, jackie chan probably wants a winner who speaks chinese understands chinese to work for him

jackie didn't always speak english. Also jackie's main trait is to mix comedy with martial arts. Xin has that quality, probably more then any participant in the contest.

I'd say you've paid your dues if you can do it here without a PR rep. probably only showed a lil bit because it's just a show, and JC probably didn't want to show every trick he has. It's a show after all, reality tv is scripted. JC works with hundreds of actors who do not know chinese or english and those were some of the best fights he's filmed.

the thing is that xin has incredible acrobatics skills and does tricky jump and stuff, it doesn't matter he dsn't speak chinese, the matter is that he has not a martial art base.he didn't learn kung fu,or chinese kenpo or whatever.he is good at jumping, that doesn't mean he could fight.

actually xin did learn quite a bit of chinese martial arts and im shure it would have been xin ....if he knew how to speek better chinese
