  • This guy really didn't answer the question, he just said that you shouldn't "sell" insurance. I think the question really meant how does an agent go about marketing their agency, and the answer should have been through newspaper ads, direct mail, cold calling, referrals, online estimates, person to person, etc. Basically any way and every way you can get out in the public, that is how you market yourself.

  • @zwgrad09 I think what he is saying is that you don't sell insurance. You can market yourself in anyway available but landing the sale is another. He is stating that it is not a sales pitch but rather agents having enough knowledge to satisfy a customer's need. Some people want to make money but be able to sleep at night after doing the right thing.
