I dunno. I am probably gonna get lambasted for this, but I have known many people (women and men) who are amazingly oblivious to when someone is simply not interested, and they keep on pursuing them. If I knocked on a door and heard him say, "nobody's home", that would be the last time he'd hear from me. I wouldn't say "Kevin" in a scolding tone, I would be gone. I don't doubt she irritated the absolute heck out of him. I see her as unstable and he's probably more spineless than anything else.

What this man did to this lady was dirty, rotten, dastardly, and very rude. I had it happen to me before. I was supposed to go to a Mariner's game with my boyfriend at the time and we both agreed on the game, bought the tickets together, I paid, and on that day he stood me up. Come to find out he cheated on me or he would not have missed the game. I got him to pay me back by threatening to tell his parents about his "secret life" though. Sometimes you gotta stick up for yourself.
So sad, this poor older and aging lady is so desperate for this guy she allows her feelings to take precedence over her good judgment and intelligence. She needs to age gracefully and find someone closer to her own age who at least reciprocates her feelings. This guy ain't it.
