  • Indian music styles, the most beautiful of the world. PUNYA wonderful

  • love indian music. Whats the difference between this instrument and then sitar?

  • @DrStabkill The second resonator on the Veena is made of a gourd. The Sitar's is metallic. The Veena tends to have a softer sound because of it. From what I can gather in my World Music class, the Veena is played in the southern regions of India.

  • a la fresca

  • @presidenttrusko

  • Whole video, total concentration, until right at the end...a proud smile.

    Awesome music.

  • Which raga is this?

  • The ragam of this song is called "Nalinakanthi."

    Its arohanam is S G3 R2 M1 P N3 S, and its avarohanam is S N3 P M1 G3 R2 S. It's a janya of the 27th melakartha ragam, "Sarasaangi."

  • Punya Srinivas is fantastic! Thanks for posting this.

  • Mother India (bharat) Origin of all.. that is.

  • beautiful music and excellent performance by everyone.

  • i like to view frequently

  • Very soulfully rendered Nalinakanti!

Mridangist Sri Srinivas has done a great job of accompanying; and so has Sri Subramaniam on the Ghatam. Srinivas's style reminds me of Karaikkudi Sri Mani's style! Sunaadam!
