  • ... Magnifique... !

  • hermosos

  • salsa Disco 1980

  • omg that was incredible.

  • yo quiero un novio asi como el ♥___________♥

  • @MissZuleiica aca estoy yo :D

  • prenez de la graine sur Yanek et Diana.. y a du boulot ;)

  • Excellent performance!!! just awesome!

  • yo me quedo con la bachata en ellos se ve mas lindo el baile

  • @mayramarbe a mi tmb me encanta como bailan bachata, no tanto la salsa

  • LA/NY Style.. its like a carbon copy of each other. Once u see them, u see them all, compared to Colombian or Cuban style in which personality plays an important role.

  • @AfroMalaya I am sorry but you are talking shit. If you don't know anyhting about salsa just shut up. Salsa was born in New York and not in Cuba PR or Colombia. Salsa New York change lately with so much freaking technique but you should come here to see how people dance in the social. That;s just a performance.

Learns first then make an opinion

  • @salsabiduria That crap is what destroyed latin music. Ever wonder barely anyone makes salsa music anymore? Everyone into reggaeton and timba, salsa is stuck only a sequencer music played by cheap bands and once a while release by old artists. Btw i own 3 latin band productions fyi so dont try to shove bs down my throat. LA/NY is spin non stop not following the actual clave/ contra clave, or even basic campana. when clave is. Every latin people know this but the wont tell the gringos.

  • @AfroMalaya you said you own 3 latin bands and you still don't know anything about salsa. I can tell by the way you talk about NY style. I bet you , you don't even know about salsa groups. I agree with you about that nobody does salsa anymore but you have to blame producers that make money with the stupid young generation. Music and Dancing is different. Even the dancing change in NY style . Dancing on time is a different thing too. where are you from?

  • @salsabiduria Are you talking about the music or the dance? I suggest go and do some basic research, even a simple wikipedia salsa (music) would answer you the music is basically Cuban. The Guiro came from Cuba, the Conga is from Cuba, the Bongo is from Cuba (originally all africans but the equipments transform there); Mambo is Cuban, and the tres if from there too. New York was the Latin mecca due to the cuban revolution; yet the music is still Cuban. The only NY thing about is jazz fusion.

  • @AfroMalaya about the music and the dance. Salsa has also Bomba, plena, and many other fusions. Salsa is a fusion of rhythms. DId you fortget all those roots? Salsa is not Cuban. Mambo is cuban . But Salsa has Guaguanco , plena, bomba , mambo , jazz. even Indian roots.Since like you never heard any south American Salsa. You made a comment about the dancing. Salsa is on2 if you know about the music because of the Cuban Son. Now you think you know about salsa.

  • @salsabiduria The right word is not on2, the musicality of dancing on the off beat is called contra-tiempo. Btw i wrote the 3 paragraphs of NY Salsa on Salsa Wikipedia, 3 years ago, with barely no contests and i just check and its still there . I wrote on the Perez Prado influence (following the etymology and discography) of latin music evolution in USA. You gotta argue against what i write here, dont argue against what i dont write.

  • @AfroMalaya I don't like either any salsa after the 90s but there are no groups that make hard salsa anymore except a few like La excelencia ( New York) or Sabor y control (Peru). I think you need to find out more about what you preach. I know that the feeling for dancing is lost every since Hispanic people don't dance and listen to salsa. In new York people used to do shines 80% in the past and 20% turn patterns. Now is all the way around. Who you blame?

  • @salsabiduria Go to salsa wikipedia, click on the NY Style stub. I wrote 90% of everything there, from the insertions of the school, about Perez Prado. Since you're so into NY style tell me where the front-back mambo steps came from.

Eddie Torres claimed that the on2 exist due to the first slap on the Conga falls on the 2nd count measure. This myth has been debunked, it is actually on 2-3 clave (cause the conga tumbao is around the clave). So clave is king. I dance on 1, Contra-Tiempo, and On3

  • @AfroMalaya We all understand that there are different versions of salsa. It's a preference and one thing that all of the dancers that I record and put on my channel is that they have a passion to dance. Whether it's on1/LA or on2/NY style, or Cali style. We need to just appreciate that there are people at least trying to keep that music alive. Because us as salsera dancers we don't listen to the radio. We go to Pandora and listen to Mambo, Son, Guagira (sorry if I misspelled it)

  • @AfroMalaya at the end of the day. At least for my peeps I know and recorded on my channel we love Salsa/Bachata and we embrace it.

  • @tasb1998 Why do people dance on1 (A-tiempo) for Bachata? Cause bachata come from Son-Bolero genre, as a balada. As it reaches dominican shores, with active merengue beats (yes, the conga percussion for merengue and bachata is almost the same (4/4) technique, the bongo became king (syncopanting on 8). Son -bolero is dance On2 (Contra-tiempo) on 2 -3 clave. The new bachata songs (Aventura come into mind) are all 3-2. Only older Bachata songs from JL Guerera still maintain the 2-3 original clave.

  • @AfroMalaya I can't tell you why our dancers dance on1. When i learned bachata 7 years ago that is how I learned it too. i think its because it's easy to incorporate on1 salsa movements to the dance. I'm no expert, I'm just the person who likes to videotape my friends that are dancers and lucked out with a viral video. The information is amazing and love that someone is willing to break it down for those who want to learn. I give all dancers props for performing because it takes a lot of guts...

  • @tasb1998 Sorry i didnt finish -- because of 3-2 (first tap of the clave on 3/2 correspond to on1). Why do people dance Salsa on1 then when most (90%) of Salsa music is Son Clave 2-3 (On2)? Cause of Son-Guaracha, a faster version. Son-guaracha became the hot hits of the 60s (See Roberto Faz's pintate los labious maria video) its Son Guaracha. Son Guaracha is SALSA in pure form. The plena, bomba, boogaluu, etc, comes later. And the embargo was in full effect. Another thing, Roberto Faz yells

  • @AfroMalaya Roberto yells "Enchale Salsita" -- and its heard over the radio and tv waves all across the Carribean particularly Puerto Rico. No one wanted the name guaracha as the music (sounds un-commercial) so it was called.. "Salsa" after this term. And the Fania-All Stars took this brand of music to New York in late 70s and popularised it as Salsa. By this time, the Puerto Ricans added Plena/Bomba to it.

  • @AfroMalaya Again great info. :) On1/LA style is something that I think is one way of simplifying the dance for people. On2 is not easy to find that beat especially if your not musically inclined. So in order for "everyone" to learn to dance. Maybe that's why they did it? Or maybe it's to be able to dance to commercial Salsa vs. Mambo, Guaracha etc. Again, don't quote just my thoughts.

  • @tasb1998 I saw what you wrote on Wiki and I basically you wrote what is obvious. but the videos how you demostrate are how to step but not how the right way to dance salsa on 2. Salsa on 2 timing start in your hips. I think you don't know how to dance reason you wrote shit about salsa on 2 or NY style. You are are musician not a dancer. I would like to see you dancing. There is no right or wrong way to dance salsa. You like a style or not. Salsa is not just Mambo.

  • @salsabiduria My videos are not instructional. They are almost all performances and never have been about teaching. U don't need to see me dancing my dear because my soul purpose here is to show talent if you don't like the talent on my channel. I went to your channel and I don't see you dancing either but honestly can we say is it really you? I can gladly block you so that you don't disturb my visitors. If you continue to talk so much trash. Stop hating on the fact that this is a viral channel

  • @salsabiduria have a great night.

  • @salsabiduria I don't know wiki so not sure what your talking about.

  • @tasb1998 I think he aimed tthose at me, keep saying i dont know shit and talking shit and a musician and not a dancer, blah blah.. until he realized that i wrote most of the wiki entries on Salsa. Btw i was a Music and Dance Culture Consultant with a specific Latin government (guess which 1? hehe). I am professional choreographer and a producer, own rights to multiple bands/ productions (mostly latin-theme concept, plus American rock + world music). "Argumentally", he lost or.. got owned!

  • @AfroMalaya It's nice to meet and read your comments. I'm all about just keeping Salsa alive, but the old school Mambo. :)

  • @salsabiduria On2 New York is Slap on Tumbao (on2) followed by the double hit instead of 2-3 clave. Check Eddie Torres's video in which he and tito puentes explaining the tumbadores. This is different than a clave on-2. I danced song i for a regional tv promotions, add youtube with this watch?v=NKTb64tTb0Q the song is its Nuyorican Plena so its on1 linear. I did a Son 3-2 (Chan Chan with 3-2) in which i dance for the government of Cuba so i danced onbeat.

  • @salsabiduria That step on2 what not wrote by me. Btw you are correct, its erroneous, but also its not the hips. its the tumbao. Very easy to resolve it, dance on Clave (as it is actually done in Puerto Rico) or dance on the tumbadores. Yes there is right or wrong in Salsa, because of the rhythmic sway and the type of the beat. But alas due to inconsistent rhythm recognition it has evolved to.. bad dancing. We called it "wrong mounting". And why are you getting upset over this FACT?

  • @AfroMalaya Honestly my preference now of style of Bachata is the way Troy & jorjet dance. Dominican Style with footwork. The sensual stuff is okay but to me it's about hearing the instruments and interpreting it with your steps. I'm no way an expert, but i'm always willing to learn more and be able to appreciate Salsa and Bachata Music and feel it in my soul when I dance it. Enjoy your week. :) Thanks for the info.

  • La salsa nacio en Cuba pto Rico la toca y en Colombia la baila, pero no importa que estilo sea lo importante es gozarla.

  • definitivamente estan bailando es ballet no salsa

  • aunque no es la salsa that we normally dance in the clubs in Puerto Rico..it's still salsa...just they way they do it for competitions. They are good.....don't hate. You guys look great! Les Felicito!!!!!

  • acuerdate que la salsa tiene muchos estilos y son neverending, unlike bachata and other dances, salsa is a dance which has no specific style and gives the person a chance to be very creative and you can do your solos and sync movements with a partner. and competition salsa is not that either which is danced in puerto rico, it is more of a formal routine.

  • estas segura? dime si la salsa tiene un solo estilo. ella lo esta haciendo bien, esta combinando. thats what salsa and dancing is all about. been there done that. in 27 countries.
