  • yum, great video. thanks!

  • Are those unsalted raw peanuts? Thank you.

  • @MotherLodeBeth : Yes, but if you have the salted and roasted ones, you can use them. You will need to add lesser salt in the food and cook the peanuts a lot less time.

  • why is it whever i make rice, it comes out sticky?? what do i have to do to make the rice separate and fluffy

  • @mariam0x : Search for a video on "Perfect Basmati Rice" on our website or on our YouTube Channel. Enjoy :)

  • If my son is allergic to peanuts, can I make it without them?

  • @katelynmaex

    Absolutely...you can leave them out.

  • can I substitute that masala with garam masala?

  • @alexxx1836

  • who's house do u guys cook in ??? Anuja's or Hetal's? :)

  • there is a problem with this video presentation. You cannot hear the cooks well. Audio problem should be corrected.

  • wow thx for this recipe, something unusual, makes a change from the biryanis and pilaus.

  • alt u can also just use the normal masalas at home. we always vary the dish with what we have - sometimes fry onions instead of mustard seeds, sometimes no onions or mustard seeds, sometimes we add leftover roti or even sabzi (veges) or frozen peas/carrots.

the masala we use is salt chili and turmeric dhana/jeeru powder varying between chili powder whole red chili or chopped green chillies and a bit of lemon juice for the tartness. Basically whatever u have to hand there is no standard recipe!

  • Stay tuned for "Vagharelo Bhaat"!

  • I follow your recipes and tried many of 'em..This masala rice is very easy to prepare and tastes very good too...I recommend this recipe to all...but I believe it would be very useful to guys like me who come hungry home after work :-)

  • "Give it a good stir" or "Give it a good toss." I love Anuja! (Hetal, too.) You two are so funny. And this rice looks great. I love asafoetida (spelling?).

  • Hi, I had a question that came to my mind when i saw you crackling mustard seeds - what do you do to get rid of the strong smell it leaves behind? I leave the exhaust on for a long time, and use candles etc, but during winters it is impossible to leave the door open. Any suggestions on how to get rid of the strong smells?

  • You can boil some vinegar and water in a pot and let it keep simmering. It helps to absorb some of the smells.

  • Some new spices for me, I cant wait to try it!!

  • :)

    looks good

    I will try it soon
