  • If your having trouble finding any level lancer in a manual just look near a military base. I live near ft Bragg and got every option I wanted. Most people can't tell the difference between my gts and a ralliart. Love the mpg on the gts btw. If I wanted Evo mpg I'd buy a N/A V8.

  • Lol, dooors open dude...!

  • what made you go with RRM and not the dc headers? plus with headers i figuered a high toned sound.

  • i've heard engine lights are permanently on when you install an exhaust....can anyone confirm this?

  • whats with americans and ONLY buying cvt.....use a freakin clutch its way more fun

  • @ph1ly I wanted a manual, but my three closest dealers couldn't locate one for me. This was in June or May.. I'm in the northeast.

  • @cavaderblood thats unreal. I got a VRX (Aussie equivalent of a GTS), and they had more manual than auto. I don't get why people would want a cvt. They're MUCH slower judging by the videos on youtube, $2500 dearer and use more fuel. Different country different expectations i guess.

  • @ph1ly That's what I'm saying, the manual 2010 GTS's sold out and only the CVT's were left when I started shopping. It was bad timing... They don't use more fuel though. I just need to be patient, I'm going to get a ralliart after I save up a bit.

  • @ph1ly cvt is better for drag race and it = more torque. My facts I talked to the dudes from RRM road race motor sports and they even said it can handle turbo but it needs cold air intake + inter cooler and low boost turbo so the cvt can handle it, And Something else he had mention to add with the turbo for cvt I had forgot but I plan on making my 08 lancer cvt A project car. and why get an evo and be some poser that just buys A car out of his ass and thinks his the best.

  • @swat305GINO why buy a car already tuned up it takes the tune out of tuner lol. and the turbo kit for cvt u have to add oil every 3,000 miles or else well you know where i'm going with this :P

  • @ph1ly I had to drive to another state to get my GTS 2011 manual this spring. I can't imagine driving a CVT version of this car...where's the fun? Most dealers don't like to stock manual because the automatic is more expensive and they get a bigger cut of the sale. But yes..most Americans like to do other stuff when they drive (use their cell phone, do their make-up or eat like pigs) so the stick cramps their bad habit style. i wish all cars were manual...the road would be safer.

  • @dkr000theOne

why hate on Americans or anyone for that matter.

  • are you serious? automatic? cmon dude?!?!

  • Well that must of been worth buy a lancer just to make a video of yourself making it roar

  • Thanks for the responses guys. I actually wouldn't recommend the headers. They rob torque from the low RPM range and transfer it to the high RPM range. This effects your daily driving experience and makes it not as fun to drive. The intake and exhaust are great though. The intake and exhaust probably added about 10hp all around. The headers another 3-5 but shifted to the >3500rpm range which IMO is a wrong dir for this engine.

I actually sold this car and purchased a 370z about 6 months ago.

  • nice new purchase

  • @kdoske unless you have a turbo/supercharger, I think replacing the headers on a na engine might do more harm than it does good. due to reduced back pressure i think?

  • that rattle you hear is the muffler hitting the bumper hence shitty install..lol and i hate the 2009 blue colours its too bright unlike the 2008 electric blue, looks like sti colour which is awesome

  • If you read the info about the video you would see that the muffler problem was fixed. I didn't even know the rattle was there until I made this video and watched it. It was fixed same day.

  • but its ugly

  • whats the rattling noise every time the rpm's come down???

  • If I am not mistaken, that sound is caused by the bumper. You see how close the exhaust tip is to that bumper. that is the only thing i dont like about the Axle back. Can y ou adjust it?

  • you can buy longer hanger supports made of silicone. that should keep it off the bumper and it wont hang soo low to where itll scrape the road

  • i could guess the vibration of the exhaust on the bumper?

  • still sounds very nice

  • lol Now look at my lancer. Tell me that again (:

  • just ordered my rrm headers now and i already have the intake and axle back put on

  • LOL is this car automatic?

  • For example...i just bought a 1993 dodge daytona IROC R/T for $1,200 it runs mid 12s at the track stock. you prolly spent about $1,000 on your bolt ons and you car is still slow. now yall can get mad at me and talk shit but yall know im right.

  • theres more to a car then just quarter mile times. Im sure his lancer is more comfortable for driver and passenger, also it has more toys inside, huge trunk and the list can go on. Now he has a nice car that sounds decent while driving. Im sure if quarter mile is all. he cared about he would of purchased something else.

  • couldn't ov said it better myself

  • there is a difference. He looks good going down the track.

  • honestly? i dont give a fuk about your pussy dodge piece of shit. its def a piece of junk if you bought it for 1200... come talk when you get a nice $20,000 2009 lancer.

  • @sexymexy41 I'm sure you're right, but when you're stuck on the side of the road swearing and smashing the hood in, none of us Mitsu owners are going to stop and lend a hand (:

  • hey im not trying to start shit but traying to make this model Lancer fast by waisting your money on intakes, exhaust, etc is stupid. its like trying to make a cavalier, non turbo eclipse, focus, and all those ricer cars fast. Dont be a ricer and get a real sports car thats worth your money.

  • maybe he doesn't want forced induction

  • maybe he doesn't have the money to frankly i don't give i shit my parents said in summer that im a good kid grades and i got a 16k lancer for my first car what am i gonna do be an asshole and ask for a 30k dollar car

  • 1/a mile how much time??

  • yeah my car shakes at 500 rpms for some reason; but when your driving it sound realy cool and bassy.

  • whats that shaky sound when it revs back down?

  • if not mistaken it could be the muffler vibrating against the bumper.

  • Hey I own a lancer and I was thinkin about purchasing a turbo kit from RRM would u recommend them???????

  • oh my gosh, you dont turbo a lancer... youl be pushing maybe 8psi with the rrm turbo anyways. not worth it. sell it and save the moeny and buy yourself a X. gsr that is.

  • Actually I believe its 16 psi

  • it is not 16 psi...

  • Yea it is go check their website.

  • yes

  • do you get the same performance as a manual by using the paddle shifters?

  • same feel but not same performance

  • He better move that muffler down or he will melt his bumper...lol

  • i was also wondering how much HP you at to it because i have a 09 lancer 2.4L and i purchase a cold air intake from injen but i have intall it yet please let me know thank you

  • Why did you leave in part of the original intake?

  • so that intake can get some cold air from the outside and not suck in hot air from the engine bay

  • i'm gonna go to the mitsu dealer ship on tuesday to check out the 2.4L lancer GTS i know that in california the 2.0 is detuned to 143HP is the 2.4 detuned as well or is it only for the 2.0?

  • Poor thing's an auto. :P

  • CVT transmission w/ pedal shifters on sport mode, = partly manual :]

  • Hehe, yeah, if you live in a hilly area it's cool. Or in a bustling city. Though it will always be partly manual. Hopefully the CVT is somewhat smooth with the paddies. God, on the M35 and G35, it's so rough shifting. You can feel the clunk of the gears shifting. It's so sad. :(

And why the -2? It is a poor thing the man doesn't have a manual. Manuals are great and anyone who gave me a thumbs down must be a crazy son of a gun who only buys autos.

  • nothing like a manual trust me i own a 08 Lancer CVT

  • i said partly.

  • no even 1/10th of a manual...its really bad...regret getting a CVT but in traffic u really appreciate it

  • O_o but u do have to manually shift it if you're on sport mode o_O

  • to bad the CVT transmission doesnt actually have "gears"

  • but yet, on sport mode, you'll have to "manually" paddle shift it

  • 215 N/A? Yeah right, post the dyno sheet!

  • how much did each of those upgrades cost individually? and how much Hp did each add?

  • its a beautiful car sounds like a turbo!

  • where did u get ur V2 intake? I have an 09 lancer gts but every site i look on says they don't have a V2 for it.

  • so how much horsepower does it have good question and was it a big difference with all that stuff on the car as in the take of and speed??

  • how much horsepower u have in lancer?

  • sounds like a turbo car. awesome!

  • i wonder if you could break 200 N/A on the 2009 model

  • EDIT: i meant horsepower

  • yes, you can break 200+ hp on a 09 GTS. i have a 09 and im running 215 to the wheels with a injen intake, RPM header and a AEM ECU reflash

  • NIce car and sounds great, luckily you fixed the rattle on the bumper faster than I did and that lead to a burned bumper :'''(

  • Sounds nice. I wanted to ask about that rattle on the bumper, but than I read in comment that you had fixed it. Nice job!

  • wow nice car
