As for the economy-do you know the terms of land lease agr. and who made piles on the war?By the way USA started "boady movements" towards East when it became obvious that Russians have past the point of no return and go confidently towards Berlin. Anyhow the victory over fascism was fastened by the US participation.

I'm 18 and I love learning about WW1 and WW2 and anything of the past, but it seems like kids my age would not like to discuss anything to do with WW2. Every time I refer something to WW2, they look at me in puzzlement. I have yet to meet another teen that has any knowledge of WW2. Most popular audiences of these history videos are 35-64 yo, so are today's younger generation much less aware of history or perhaps they have better things to do such as facebook and I'm just dwelling in the past...

@levierdragon I understand completely where you are coming from. And I think you're right. Im 23, but been a history buff (primarily WW2) since I was very young. I think this stuff is interesting, but you learn a lot from it. And our history is very important. The sacrifice everyone made, and the reality and magnitude of the events that took place are just massive. And we should all be so grateful that there can be freedom to enjoy life at all.

The reason I started researching, was because I read vmail my uncle sent it was dated dec 18th, he died dec 20th, he was in Belgium, he is at Liege, so looking at the dates he m ust have been in Ardennnes how ever u spell it, right when the bulge broke he was dead 2 days later.

This might be because we go to an international school, so we each want to see our own history and collectively it makes us know so much more.

For example, I tell my friend of the French stories of the WWs while she gives me the Phillipino/Burma story, and someone else gave the Japanese, another the USA, and so on.
