strong hold was intrudueced in 1.8 pre 1. It is a underground fort with some goodies in it. Like diamond. It has chests, Like abandoned mineshafts ETC.

Before you read anything else, I DID NOT BUILD THIS!

Here is how I did this:

I downloaded a mod for 1.8 pre spawning a stronghold at 0,0. I did this around 30 times and found 3 strongholds out of the 30 I found that had little hatches near the surface. The mod didn't put the hatches near the surface! I have found a stronghold in 1.8.1 with a hatch similar to these! It actually happens!

ive seen many stronghold videos and all of them are shattered and fucked up by shafts and ravines, my random seed couldng spawn 2 of the 3 stronholds, the only one was near my spawnpoint, near a village and was complete with almost no damage.

Strongholds are abandoned underground houses that are made up of craked stone brick, stone brick, and mossy stone brick. They are made up of multible rooms, hallways, and corridores. Some of the treasures that can be found in stonghold chests are Paper, Books, Coal, Gold Ingots, Iron Ingots, Compasses, and Red Apples. You can also find iron bars, doors, bookcases, and buttons. In 1.9 you can find craked portal blocks that lead to the Ender, and they can be repared with the Eye of Ender.

@aaronjohnreyes I think whenever the food bar turns green ( from rotten flesh, and can also happen from eating too much raw food ) you are "poisoned", which makes you get hungry faster.

when starting, they are a good resource income

also the rails are set.. there are several rooms and doors.. and stairs guiding u outside..

you can use those dungeon as ur mine..

same goes for the villages that are found.. u can use these to farm ur wheat/whatsoever

and they have sometimes neat materials
