Bernard and Rose are in so many ways the greatest character of the whole damn show. They made it all right, and if I had been on the island in all the chaos, I would have sticked with them.

@rtozier2011 is he? In the back story John locke is thrown out a high rise and he dies beforehe even gets to the island. But jacob brought him back to life. On the Island right from season 1 episode 1 we see that there is a dichotomy to Locke ( remember the white and black ey dream Clair had.. plus John locke had already looked into the heart of the island.. Something that ther real locke never found only the usurper locke saw it with young jacob) so how did he know it was there
@darrelincanada Dude, Lost is complicated enough without coming up with theories where unexplained dream sequences and the like are the only evidence. We all had fun coming up with such theories when the show was running, but the point for me was "can I predict what the writers will make canon?" Now that they're not going to make anything else canon, I wouldn't have kept up your theory if it'd been mine. As for "how did he know it was there?" He didn't - he happened to see it in the monster.
@rtozier2011 were you watching the same show as everyon else.. the smoke monster didn't show him the heart of the island, the smoke monster read peoples minds and that was a theory. re watch the initial scene between mr eko and smokey you can see that the smoke monster is taking images from eko of ekos past. S it didn't project images into people.and the whole white eye black eye thing is callled literary foreshadowing not a theory.
@darrelincanada I understand the concept of literary foreshadowing, and I agree that this is the case. But that does not make two people the same person.
@rtozier2011 and as far as locke saying he saw the heart of the island we as an audience never saw that til season 6 across the sea and locke was making this claim way back in season 1 none of the surviviors even realized there was aheart of the island because none of them weren't even aware they were potential candidates to replace jacob. So it was a theory just more foreshadowing

( and I am aware im am making a contradictory statement here.. but howseeing as this whole show was about the afterlife I think that all the passengers on oceanic 815 were already dead and were in limbo ( the island )
@darrelincanada That is clearly not the case. You have misunderstood the show on an epic scale. I hope you don't do this kind of thing in real life. There are many things left unanswered about Lost. However, among those that aren't are the following: The first five seasons take place in real life - all the characters are alive and all are who they appear to be. As you said, you are being contradictory. You can't just ignore evidence such as Miles. Furthermore, Lost departed from 21C science...

...a long time ago - the idea that "there's nothing to see in a dead mind" doesn't apply the way it would in real life - there's not yet any such thing as living telepathy, either. And the whole show was not about the afterlife. Only half of Season Six was about the afterlife, the other 11/12 of the show was about life in the here and now. Make up your own show if you must, but don't call it this one.
@darrelincanada Dude, anything unproven is a theory. You don't have proof; you also don't have compelling evidence. An image in a dream sequence does not an in-universe story arc make. Also, there's no provable argument that Locke was dead when Jacob touched him - indeed aspects of the in-universe logic contradict this (Dead is Dead, for example). Sayid's resurrection is a counter to this, but imo S6 was much less well written.
@rtozier2011 I want you to look up the definition of theory. if it is proven it is a theory...if it isn' proven its a hypothesis. Too many people confuse hypothesis and theory. And Dude this whole series was a story not a theory ( although it could fit in the category of hypotheis extremely well of what if...). And yes Locke was Dead before jacobb touched him he wasn't breathing until after jacob touched him but don't take my word for it go back to that eposide in season 6 and see
@darrelincanada I don't need to take your word for it. "Dead" is when a person dies. Stopping breathing for a few seconds does not make a person dead. That episode's in Season 5 for one thing. As for "theory" and "hypothesis", that may very well be true, but it doesn't change the fact that you are inventing story details and presenting them as facts with little to no evidence.

A guys falls from an eight story floor and basically would shatter his spine and smash his skull in at the back and that wouldn't constitute instant death? it took Jacob a good 24 second to cover the spacebetween where he was sitting and where locke was and not breather after that sort of trauma doesn't necessarily meanb your dead?
I love how everyone else is running around, shooting, blowing up stuff, having an adventure and Rose and Bernard are just in their own little area staying out of it XD

As much as I would love to see them live, I feel Rose's cancer needs to claim her... It would just be one of those moments in Lost that stays with you.
I've thought about that too, but then again it isn't exactly the same circumstances as before, for instance Desmond being on the plane, therefore it is possible that she'd never gotten cancer.
I know - their story is so emotional - I think that it's because cancer affects the lives of so many and its such a sensitive issue. I can't begin to know what it is like for Rose going through it. Very powerful drama.
You did a really good job with this mix. I think it's the best one. And it's a beautiful theme...dare I say it...more beautiful than the Desmond/Penny theme! I've been listening to it again and again. Wonderful!
I know what you mean. Their story is so sad. I know somebody who has suffered from cancer and I Rose's storyline is all the more touching for that. The theme is so delicate and genuine - not overtly romantic and grand like Desmond and Penny's. Just a little more subtle, the issue it touches on is fragile and the music beautifully reflects that.
