(cont) However, people who aren't necessarily as taken with him as myself also believe he should have taken the gold in the 2011 GPF as well as thinking that Patrick did not skate well his LP in the same. And that he was over-scored in the SP as well. It's not just Takahashi fans that feel that the scoring was very "off." As I saw it, Daisuke should've had the gold and Yuzuru the silver; bronze was the only one right. MHO.....that's it.
Ok, think I've watched this 6 x in a row now...so maybe that will do me for a while. I meant, of course, "his" costume. I'd just add that the entire pkg includes charisma...which he most assuredly has to the full. Not to mention, he's got some great moves to match his choreography, he's sexy, he's handsome, he's charming & has good taste. He could be a dancer, an actor or a prince or all three and be well-suited to each. Do I like Daisuke? Ya think??
You know, I feel that if they are going to keep up this scoring system that they should create a new category for single ice dancers....THAT might be fair, since they underscore artistry or simply fail to appreciate it in the first place. Supposedly they changed the scoring to make it more fair...so let's REALLY make it fair, then!!
@Jazillia Yes, if that weren't bad enough, for him to wind up w/the gold this year in the GPF over Takahashi was even worse. He slams into the boards on his short skate...then had some pretty sloppy landings in the LP as well as falling on his bottom whereas Daisuke half-fell on ONE jump and the rest was perfect. LOADS of people have questioned the scoring in Canada. Then Chan says it's a proof he's been doing everything right....accchhh!! Just too much.....ugh!!
men's figure skating is seriously so much more exiting than women's. Daisuke, Chan, and in previous years, Lambiels and Plushenko are really just through the roof.
He defenitly has the heart of an artist. His presentation and expression are unequalled, but I do feel that he did not have the technical goods to be number 2 here. He flutzes his lutz, and that is a deduction, and he didn't attempt the quad. I have to say that his programs from 2010 were some of the best I've ever seen though, artistically.
@kazzicup Not only is costume.....LOL. What's inside it looks pretty good too! And you know Daisuke has a gracious & sweet attitude off the ice, but he's dyn-o-mite on the ice!

I think he should have been second in this short, and not Nobunari, he's really fabulous, he's my 2nd favourite male skater next to Patrick
