  • what is that kind of a barcode?

can i scan the barcode with a rectangular lines with numbers under it??

  • ahah, i scanned the barcode you showed in this video... got the same link xD

  • whats a no ---kia

    isnt it pronounced nOkia

  • The Nokia N95 barcode reader works for some types of barcodes, but not others. It doesn't work for the typical linear barcodes that you see in most places, but works with some matrix barcodes, such as Semacode, DataMatrix, and QR Code. Wikipedia 'barcode', scroll to the bottom, and test out the barcode reader with the various barcodes there.

  • Does this work on real barcodes cos i'm confused

  • Is it possible to download some basic map data to the phone and use google maps mobile offline?

  • those are RFID codes not barcodes and it works

  • Why the hell is this useful? I, like many others, thought it would scan real BARcodes as well...

  • yeah,y?

  • man i tried for 10 mins trying to scan normal barcodes....

  • ohh man, i tried this like forever trying to scan normal barcodes aswell. i was thinking "hey, this shit doesnt work!" this sucks

  • lol me 2 :D

  • thats not even a bar code

bar codes are the line ones

  • how does this work =/ haha idk how to use

  • Yeah, me 2. I thought that something is broken because it even couldn't reed the barcodes on the box of Nokia...

  • Thats a relief! I was trying to total my shopping last inthe supermarket. Why cant Nokia write a proper user manual?

  • i thought it was for actually barcodeees!

  • i also thought it's for barcodes in packagings. lol.

  • me too I was like why the hell dose it not work

  • Yeah same here, I thought certain selected Barcodes would give info, But not Barcodes that we know. What a total omission by Nokia, from their manual. !!! Dingbats

  • dude is that standard

  • yeah

  • hey dude my nokie e90 does not even recognize that ?

  • thank you for this

  • Does anyone know how to make a barcode from text? Thanks!

  • good video, thanks for that!

in all honesty i thought it ment barcodes on pakaging, not the computer barcodes.

    once again good video.

  • thank you :)

  • This doesn't work with UK barcodes etc. I have tested it and nothing comes up...

Were is that barcode located which you have on screen? and I'll try that out.

  • nice

  • what barcodes are these. and wer are they from. i thought u scan barcodes from food boxers

  • They are called QR codes. These codes can contain much more information then the standard grocery store (thick and thin line) bar codes which only represent numbers. QR codes have those 3 boxes in the corner to orient the scanner so the codes can be understood in any orientation. They are used a lot in Asia in advertisements which is pretty cool. If you see a sign with one of those codes it usually takes you to the webpage of the company. Much easier then punching in the whole web address!

  • cool i just scaned your code on the screen and it worked for the first time, in the uk the codes look diferent.

  • Do you have to press a button to capture the image or this realtime?

  • nope. while in the barcode reader application, it continuously scans until it sees the barcode (which is what the red lines are for). once the barcode is detected, it automatically scans it. no need to press a button.
