@MLGMinecraftVideos Maybe you need to mess around with the settings in the avi file.  Perhaps it is using the wrong codec or frame rate.

@MLGMinecraftVideos I don't use avs converter so I don't know what the problem is. Maybe you could use a program called "VirtualDub" which you can download for free, just search for it on google. You can use it to open video files and save them as avi files, not sure if it opens mp4 files though

@MLGMinecraftVideos I don't think I understand what you meant. Where did the mp4 file come from if you got the avi file directly from your camera? Once you have the avi file try opening it with Microsoft Gif Animator and see if that works, if it doesn't try opening it with VirtualDub and save it as an avi with 10 frames per second. I have a new video up by the way telling you how to make an animation for free, maybe if you use the same exact method in that video then it will work.

@jhhwild okay i threw out my old camera that generates avi files as the video and im using my new camera that shoots video and saves it in mp4 format okay. and i looked at another imageready video and i said can i download that video so he said yes and he gave me the link and it had the same problem white screen so i also tryed opening the file that he gave me in virtual dub and it says unknown file and i also tryed my video that was converted int oa avi file from a mp4 and it also said unknown

@MLGMinecraftVideos Maybe you need to download a certain codec like Divx or something like that. Or perhaps you could forget about making avi files and make a .mov or mpeg file. ImageReady can open those files too but I can't guarantee that it will work.

@jhhwild Try downloading a gif to wmv converter or something, or perhaps record the gif with a screen capture program like CamStudio. There are multiple solutions to whatever problem you are facing. Without being there myself I probably won't know exactly how to solve it for you so try different things yourself, I'm sure you can figure it out.

By opening an avi file with Windows Gif Animator you can save the avi file as a gif file and then open the gif file with ImageReady and open it without a problem.

@playPS3play Maybe it's not in the newer versions for some reason. I don't know why they would get rid of a useful application like that. In Music Maker 7 it is under "file" and "record", then you select video. Do you have a webcam? Maybe it doesn't have that option if you don't have a webcam plugged in. Also maybe you can drag video files into it. I don't know how much the program has changed since the 2004 version.

@Ikizy68108 Adobe ImageReady is only available in older versions of Adobe Photoshop CS packs, I have version 8.0 I think. You can download it by downloading a torrent and extracting the install files from the torrent using a program such as BitComet or utorrent. Either that or you can purchase it legally. You should be able to record with your webcam using the Music Maker program. If you don't have a webcam dragging the video file into the program should work if it supports the format.
