Hey thanks for the vid. Can I ask where you got your hops from? Did you plant roots or seeds? Im in Ireland and cant find anywhere that sells them. P.S: There's nothing wrong with the mic, people love to moan on youtube.
@BeerDiddleyBeer Cheers. I planted bare rooted hop plants that I ordered from "hopshop.co.uk" they were very helpful. You'll have to wait until January to May next year to order, but that should give you time to prepare the ground and support system. I really should have prepared my ground a month in advance but got a bit slap-dash and dug-in the rotted manure about a minute before planting.
@immolateus I wonder whether you could grow them in a pot. I've got an idea in my head of growing them in a bucket suspended from a long line tied up near a first or second storey window. The line securing the bucket would also act as a wire for the hop bind to grow up. Possible a danger in high winds but a thought for those with no garden.
@BrewTubeUK I'm sure you could..but I have small animals in the house and don't feel comfortable growing indoors cause of them (hops are poisonous to cats/dogs according to many online sources)
@kyral210 Duly noted. I see what you mean: there's a few explosive consonants in the voiceover. The mic wasn't moored up, though. Please get a new spell-checker or proof read :-p
But good point, I'll moVe away from the mic. Cheers.
@matthewjago Thanks, but I do think kyral210 is right, I need to sort out my microphone technique and move away from it. I had thought about one of those pop filters; how would you make one?
@BrewTubeUK Yes, kyral is right as far as the pop filter goes, the mic itself is fine. Bend a wirte coat hangar into an O shape, stretch a pair of tights or some other thin material over it. What you need to achieve is to create a filter that will stop the force of air from your voice hitting the mic, put quite simply.

@BrewTubeUK all you have to do is make a simpe "pop" filter, it'll sort out the explosives. Mic is fine.
