  • Nice flag from MEXICO!

  • Music's from Kill Bill.. Right??? The Japanese animated scene :D Awesome!!!

  • Fucked up piece of garbage. Not to mention, 1000 bugs per minute

  • whats is this song??

  • multiple home page apple does it years ago

  • gnome! NICE

  • beryl?

  • ...I hate Novell because am communist....

  • That was very very strange choice of music..

  • The name of the song?

  • the grand duel

  • Thanks.

  • from where can i find driver for HP ATI 3200 ?

  • how's this different from any other linux? show me something that would make me buy it

  • For one, Linux is free... and two, all Linux distros are different. They all use OpenGL and Compiz the same but they are all different.

  • Why would you buy something that is free?

  • Where can i download suse 10 ?

  • l2google

  • So many distros, i just migrated from WINDOWS to LINUX (sabayon), and even though i dont NOTHING about LINUX, i think i could learn to love it. Oh yeah, by the way, whats the difference betwen Ubuntu, Beryl, Sabayon, SUSE, in words a non geek-hacker understands?.

  • Loool. its different distributions. Like different operating systems But all based in linux. but made by different persons and with different features. Some smaller... some faster... some "geeker"... some with better graphic effects.... some better for working. Some simplier to use too.

It's all about search for each one on linux's website, and see what you like the most.

  • @osmodivs They all are with same core but with bit difference in look and features. Just different brand names for same product.

  • @osmodivs the linux kernel/engine = the same of Ubuntu, Sabayon and SUSE, beryl isn't a distro but a window manager who now is merged with compiz, and the diffrence, and ubuntu = debian based, Sabayon = Gentoo based and SUSE... correct me if im wrong but i thought it had something to do with Slackwareso the diffrence between the distro's is the the company/foundation who looks after it, and what package's it uses, apt-get, portage, RPM and what GUI it has, but nowadays you can easyly change that

  • @osmodivs

    Cyanide faggot

  • How did you do that water thing on the GIMP program?

  • Alert:Hey Every1 Suse=Suck it in french just saying

  • @ThePainLife

But Not, really the same way to write it actually, and the french word

for "suck" doesn't have the idea, the connotation of "something bad" as the

    english term.

  • @Zuukan suse=suck=Suck a dick

  • @Zuukan i know im french

  • What browser is that?

  • firefox i think

  • ô hay quá

  • i installed this on my acer aspire one and i have only one thing to say...

    SUSE FUCKING ROCKS !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

this is probably the easyest linux distro that i have ever tried. I recomend it to everyone

  • Give it a try....by the way whats that sweet melody ???????

  • I just did download Linux Suse i'm gonna install it tomorrow :) can someone tell me if it's better then windows xp Home edition ?

  • viva linus trovals

    and richard stallman

    y linux

    suse

  • its Torvals ;)

  • I dont even know what to say...other than, I WANT THAT!

  • 5/5 *****. ,,Jndianin,,S-ko,,

  • where can i donwload the suse 10.1?

    how many cd they are?

  • hello i just install suse to a old pc

which im going to donate to school im mexico but i need some help ...where can i get info in the way they work..?

or send me a link where to go

  • why always ask what song is this? hmmmm...

  • the interface is quite an instrument, isn't it)

  • Wow!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    NICE

  • what song is this?

  • SuSE isn't a newbie distro.

It's Enterprise Linux, YouTube itself runs on Suse.

Ubuntu seems to be the overall most popular with new users.

Because Ubuntu supports your hardware automatically with a default install.

  • i really like it. i love it. it's perfect! perfect for opera sound effect! may i know the title of this song?

  • what song is this?

  • I don't like when people get Linux just for the eyecandy. Then they ask "Where is the EXE's?" and "WHY CAN'T I PLAY MY GAMES?!?" and so on. I hate it infact... It has grown towards a disliking of Compiz and Beryl... Metacity is better....

  • dude ill post a vid of my linux, using command lines, effects, and all sorts of stuff, more than just this...im not trying to down the vid, im just trying to educate. that there is more to linux, then the "eyecandy".

  • Shut up dan9119...

  • where can i get this plz tell

  • Just google for Download SUSE Linux or something ;-)

  • i wish ubuntu would make there own desktop and laptops, that would be cooler

  • ubuntu is an opensource comunity! If they would make laptops then they would be a buisiness no different than microsoft or mac.

  • actualy mac is the only company thats making hardware others make operating systems oh and by the way microsoft dose make some hardware like mouses

but linux is a champ in making an os ya and mac dosent make there own os they have an independent company with very little relationships

  • cool desktop, I have suse 10.1 and am using the same theme

  • linux is great

  • great music what is this song called? i wanna play it at my grandma's funeral.

  • Watch Kill Bill Volume 1, and when you hear this music and see the scenes you'll understand why it's not a good idea to play this music at your grandma's funeral!!!!! It is cool music, though...

  • aha!

    made my day.

  • lol!

  • please dont kill bill =p!

  • SO MANY compiz/beryl effect demonstrations and SO MANY wobbly window shaking, like it really matters! CUT THE CRAP, PEOPLE!

shortcuts and window/desktop manipulation are those that matter.

  • WOW this is amazing!!!!!!!!!!!!

are there any libs for IA-64???

    please need help

  • "are there any libs for IA-64???"

    yup

just do a google search for "64-bit compiz [your distribution]"

  • thank you very much!!!

  • yeah ubuntu comes in 64-bit

  • bro you know how much more you can do with linux. there are even far more extensive effects then this, its really awsome, i would recommend ubuntu 8.04, its pretty good, i have a lot of computers, and i am running multiple linux, and i find that unbuntu works best ...thats just my personal opinion. suse is more for beginners though, its really easy to use, and its a pretty decent OS, its really different from ubuntu, so pick your choice.

  • im a beginner on Linux thinking 2 change my windows vista ( gosh i hate it ) to ubuntu (where the hell was i this 1 is awesome )

however i want 2 ask if there is any software that checks if my hardware supports linux

  • Well, what are your hardware specs? Is your laptop old or new. Linux supports most hardware, but not all. No, I don't know of any software which will tell you but the best way would be to download the ubuntu livecd. If that works then the install will most likely work.

    Mike

  • im using linux halaloya it is great but i cant get that cube u have every thing else works

  • You probably don't have it enabled. If you have Compiz fusion settings installed then go into the settings and find Desktop Cube. Enable that and also enable "Rotate Cube". Then try it.

  • i do have and i did enable cube and rotate cube

rotate cube works but i cant get the cube to work it is on but it doesnt appear

btw i omly have 2 work spaces or watever its called

  • Open Compiz Config settings manager and go to general settings. On the Desktop Size tab, change the Horizontal Desktop size (I think) from 2 to 4. Try it now.

  • dude could you please tell me how to do that???

im new in Linux, and SUSE is the only distro that works on my laptop (tx1119us)

    thanx

    great video

  • open synaptic and search for simple ccsm

install and enable the different effects

  • dude thanx for your answer, I really appreciate it... but Im still a Noob here, could you be more specific??? thanx

  • sorry i didnt realize it was suse. Does suse use synaptic package manager?

  • I dont think so, I think im going to change to ubuntu 8.04 it seems that distro would work on my lap, the live cd works...

but if you can help me with suse, please tell me

  • SuSE doesn't use synaptic. It uses YaST

  • i what the song name

  • thats The Grand Duel: (Parte Prima) in the kill bill vol. 1 albulm

  • Windows is time consuming and doesn't do a whole bunch of other stuff properly.

  • this is not linux. this is mac operator systems.isn't it guys? someone told me this as linux suse.

  • nope this is a Linux distro. mac doesn't have those effects

  • this is linux :)

    it looks kinda like mac

  • well its linux not leopard but what is with the apple in the background

  • your a dumbass...

  • Dude do it have beryl or compiz?

  • would this operating system run World of Warcraft if i install the program "Wine?"

  • Look up youtube for "Wow linux"

tons of videos to prove it

  • I had Beryl desktop on my laptop. That was working pretty smooth w/ my ATI card but I used eny to install a driver to make the compiz-fusion work out. Danm... I almost crashed my system.. the xorg stuff was completely messed and I dunno how to fix it. Anyways, the effects are pretty cool but I lost some of machine performance because I have a 3 year laptop.

  • For anyone that can answer this... Linux - are these different Linux operating systems only available for PCs? Or can they be used on a Mac? I have actually never known anyone that used Linux so I was just curious.

  • they can be used on anything that has a CD drive.

all you need to do is pop the CD in, restart your computer and it should give you something to install it.

    good luck!

  • lol yeah also Mac.. through bootcamp or for old PowerPC there are quite a few distros that support it. I dont know how do you install it on a Power PC but I have seen quite a few distro's support it

  • Linux is well known to work well on macs

  • Can you run ordinary games such as Team Fortress2 on Linux? And are there any Linuxes that you can just download onto your harddrive so that I don't have to keep switching from Windows to Linux?

  • IF you download something called Wine for linux than you may be able to run Team Fortress. But I recommend that you buy a application called Cedega for linux gameing becuse i had a graphics problem with wine and world of warcraft but that just might of been my graphics card.

  • cara se vc fo br plz me ajuda a instalar os efeitos 3d no suse plzzz cara eu tenho uma geforce 8500 Gt deve funfar neh:?? me ajuda a instalar esses efeitos 3d plzz todas as dicas que tem no google eu ja tentei mais nunca da me ajuda ai pf

  • I see a rise from the phoenix coming! Novell may have the last laugh on M$. :)

  • You really dont NEED any but they're still cool ^^,

  • Wow, impressive graphics !

  • Yup, SUSE is slow compared to Slackware. This is because SUSE is configured to work out of the box.

A lot of us don't want to spend a day scratching our heads trying to make X work. We need to get a job done.

  • SUSE is a corporate solution and should be treated as such. You wouldn't drive to work in a tractor (unless you were a farmer ;-) ) and you wouldn't try to plough a field with a Porche.

One must use the tools apropriate for the job and for the corporate workspace SUSE fills the hole that MS'Doze is about to leave.

Slackware is for those with the nous and patience to squeeze every last CPU cycle out of a machine.

    Peace

  • podrian decirme donde conseguir el suse? saludos

  • no es el programa suse pero sino el un porgrama q se llama beryl.. y es lo q hase haser eso... y ese program se usa en suse y ortos linux systemas operativas q hay por alli.

  • no way those affects can be on suse linux i thought they only worked on ubuntu linux plz tell me how to do those affects plz reply do they involve downloading if they do plz send me an link

  • ...where did you hear that you can only use them with ubuntu? These effects are getting quite old tbh, its called beryl. Which apparently has merged or something with compiz-fusion.... deffinatly not for ubuntu only, just about every linux distro has this

  • oh thats cool mind giving me the website if you have one

  • plz!

  • Milo,

Linux is cool! What sucks is Vista.

    LINUX FREE SOFTWARE

  • U suck

  • what is this song called?

  • this is music of candy candy serie

  • alguien sabe como se hace esos efectos en suse?

  • The music... Is it Ennio Morricone?

  • eh? just a beryl demonstration? i was looking for a suse demonstration. o well... To answer avelx' question, installing hardware especially video card on linux is... ok. depends on which distribution you use and what hardware you use. i liked ubuntu 7.

  • WTF is this ??? and how do I install it on my computer!!!!!

  • This is called Suse... this is just one of the nice goodies with suse... about how to install it. Once you discover suse you will hate windows! you will destroy and recycle all your windows programs and applications and become a slave of linux programs... this is it!

  • Agreed. but i still want my windows apps... for emulation. (Emulators for linux suck.)

  • Why wave that window?...

  • I really want linux but my hardware is not compatible. I hear it is quite hard to get hardware working with Linux. Is this true?

  • I installed SUSE 10 on an IBM PC300 at our office; and it recognized all the hardware. Drivers loaded. It was seemless.

Current Linux distros are relatively easy to install on most current systems; however, there is a bit of a learning curve at the beginning in configuring devices.

I'd suggest installing it on a separate hard drive on your PC, in a dual boot Linux/Windows setup. That way you can revert back to Windows when necessary.

  • Its just Gen2 or Kororaa or however you say it. I don't like that SUSE is better and also UBUNTU But Knoppix is for me!

  • All IBM computers work find with linux, so do hp and DELL.

  • my friend and computer with an intel proseser or amd for some distro will work you need to do some research but prebuilts in general suck

  • everything that has a hardrive can run linux, I custom build all my computers and install a different distro on all of them, I only have 1 computer with windows xp that is for games

  • TLQ, you sound like an ITT graduate, which isn't a good thing. 95 & 98se??? Are you retarded? I'm not a bandwagon fanboy, each OS has it's unique niche & strengths/weaknesses. I use all types of Os's & any real technologically educated individual is NOT a fanboy of just one OS. Otherwise they still have a whole lot to learn. Also, try not to speak in l33t speak, it's childish and makes you sound like a wanker

  • Lol spot the high horse skid mark

  • boohoo he cant use linux (think because you got no brain actualy)

to bad you have to pay hundreds of dolars for windows

    just because you're a retard

  • I love da moosic... it sounds like a cross between 'The Good, the Bad and the Ugly' and some classy 70's porn music...

  • HAHA pron

  • I'v installed Suse 9.2, I had problems during the installation, some errors. Then after installation i can't configure network with ip adresses, it is not simple. So suse need to have more support 4 users. The video was cool, nice background so (MAC)

  • 9.2 wasn't to great, they really made a stronger user base when they hit 10.1, however I would suggest Ubuntu now for best performance, great eye candy and just a better overall OS

  • suse looks nice, but nothing like my ubuntu feisty fawn with beryl ;)

  • Your absolutely right, I am now using ubuntu as well :)

  • haha, I have Kubuntu Fiesty Fawn with BeryL!! Rock ON Man!

  • Lol I have a P3 cpu @ 900 MHZ with a 128 MB vidcard and 384 MB ram. Is it possible for me to run this? I know my PC is fucked up, but I don't have enough money to buy a better one :(

  • You should be able to run this, the suprising thing about any Linux distro, is how well it runs on older systems.

  • i got SuSE 10.2 DVD and it wont install..it giver me errors on the install part when it searches for packages. i like SuSE the most though, it's proably the best linux distro out there.

  • thats awsome, i like macs, now im thinking about go with linux,,,...........i need info about it, what hardware do i need? some one let me know please!!!!

  • You don't need any specific hardware. You can download SuSe for free at the SuSe website

  • it depends, since you are probally running apple id sugessing going with a distro like yellowdog linux, but suse and Ubuntu might run on macs. I dont know since I only ever owned 1 mac that I installed with linux

  • can you tell me where you got that amazing wallpaper?

  • Does this work good on old Pc's?

    PIII 667Mhz 512MB SD Ram

    GeForce 2MMX400 64MB?

    What are your specs.

  • good sarchasm! I guess in future, people should screen cap your xorg.conf as part of their vid's;

    Long la vida fluxbox!!

  • correction

    s/yours/theirs/

  • It should be possible since you have that amount of RAM.

If my memory isn't all messed up I think you should be able to do it with even a 400 mhz CPU. The main concern I would think is the strength of the GPU. Give it a try I think you might be surprised.

  • Mathijsweb , this 'should' work on your system, The processor and ram is plenty Im not sure if there is any rendering issues with oyur video card, however SuSe plays very nice with Nvidia cards.

  • hell ya, I managed to make suse and ubuntu run on an old windws 3.1 machine, thats how efficent it is

  • thats not old, thats jurassic, go, buy a mac

  • For future reference, recording programs look a lot nicer than putting a camera on your monitor.

But nice video none the less.

  • Holy crap! My Mac OS looks like an extremely lame now!

  • Awsome

  • With XGL actvated, you can't play any games... XGL is too heavy...

  • even with an good x2 processor and good gpu?

  • wow' spelt backwards wow i just quit ms windows graham

  • fucking awesome

  • This.

    Is.

    Teh.

    Sex.

  • does any1 no the name of teh song in the background

  • Song: The Grand Duel - Louis Bacalov (maybe from the Kill Bill Soundtrack)

  • Ohhoho mouse is very sexy!

Maybe I change the OS Fedora to SuSE

  • No exactamente necesitas ser un "NERD" para eso, solo tienes que saber lo basico de linux. ya practicamente linux y los diferentes distros estan saliendo mucho mas user firendly.

  • this is not hard to do on any Linux Distro just get Berly and then install the XGL code with Berley and bingo i have this runing on Ubunto and have had it running on Fedora

  • I found it impossible to install - just do not have the skill so I waiting for the next Ubuntu upgrade (april 2007)

  • OMG ... thats so KOOL.. as in... ~!

    :-)

    I use LINSPIRE though...

    ...

    Thanks to my teddy.

hey does anyone remember the music???

its from KILL BILL right ???

    does anyone know the title???

    :-D

  • that thing reminds me of spin me round by billy idol but naw ima pick it up for my grandson as a stocking stuffer

  • Only problem with that is "Spin me round" is not by billy idol, but Dead or Alive.

  • KICK ASS!!! WOW! I am going to give a shot...

  • Apple Sauce anyone

  • i think...that linux will in 5 yrs become as popular as windows and will squish apple.

  • Linux is already squishing windows, the bad part of linux is the gaming. That's it.

  • Yay! Microsoft and Novell working together as of today! SUSE support on Windows, Windows suppor ton SUSE!

  • My fav distro so far has been Knoppix STD, though it doesnt have the XGL eye candy, I feel that in about a year, that well all see some huge improvements in stability and more flexibility in applications

  • I just installed XGL. Let's see if it is stable. GLX was crap under my old SuSE 10.0.

  • What's your favorite distribution?

  • Im using a Nvidia 6800 ultra on that setup there, but I had a small annoyance getting ATI cards to work with XGL

  • i finally got Xgl working with my ATI card for SLED 10 :)

  • Exempt, what kind of graphics card do you have?

I don't know enough about linux to get my ATI card working :( it looks like the update for SuSE 10.1 makes SLED 10 look like crap, i wonder how 10.2 will fare

  • Anything is better than windows, unfortunately, I have to windows for gaming....
