  • This is beautiful Suze, what a wonderful poem.

What great images in your video !

I think the love, memories and essence of those past is not so much stored but is fluid, passed through you and now us, flowing through and of the essence of a collective love,...forever.

Well, it's just a theory really.

I'm gonna' hafta' get me down that way n' find me a place. ;-)

Nice Suze, Very Nice ! Thanks. -wally :-))

  • @profwaldo Thanks for your friendship and your always positive comments. It's comments such as yours that keep me here, keep me making videos. Best always, good friend! Suze

  • Hey....I remember seeing this a long time ago. Suze, does that mean we had been friends for that long? WOw! YOu mean we didn't just meet and whatnot?

  • We've been friends for a long time, yes, but shortly after we met, YT changed all the share functions around and I cannot tell you how many people's work I lost track of, including yours. The process of re-discovery has been so difficult because we have no way to notify people what we are doing...no share function, no bulletins, no nuttin. We'll not lose contact again! That's the important thing.

  • I concur....I am NEVER loosing you again Suze. All I know is that it felt like I knew you before.....and you really know my heart and artistic intent. You know me too well to just casually disappear....ever again. So yes...you are stuck now. Lol

  • ggrreeaat vviidd suuzzee!

too bad LvB's tune got cut off though

mayB I havav id re ply...

those old walls will whisper marvelouSecrets to the artists of the future. what a shame though, with 6+ billion people on eARTh I'm sure somebody could use the shelter!

  • Hello ξ£Ξ !(◎_◎;)

Always wonderful to hear from you. One day, I'll figure out how to say your name. :) Thanks so much for your lovely comments here. Ran out of video before B ran out of music; that's a long piece, as you know. Hope you're doing well! Peace ~ Suze

  • Magnificent, Suze. All of it. In dreams, I've seen houses as a metaphor for the self. We all have, I believe, it must be something in our collective memory. You capture the metaphor so well in the poem, and the images.

    ron

  • Thank you for leaving such a sensitive, compelling comment on this video. We are fellow travelers for a time, and I often wonder what becomes of our love and our memories - our essence - where might those be stored? Hugs, Suze

  • Hi, i love the melancholy feel of this video.

makes one think of the hard work that these places took to build and run...

the good times and bad experienced there too.

Our lives are transient but nature goes on.

    faved

    regards

    rob

  • Thank you so much for your kindness, also for making this video a fave. These old abandoned houses just break my heart for all the reasons you said. Peace, love and light always to you ~ Suze

  • Very sad, there were two near my childhood home, In Michigan (Upper Peninsula), used to go in them during summer vac. by myself, one had a scary feeling, didn`t stay long in it,,felt like it wasn`t a happy home..the other was more delapidated, but still had pictures and nice wallpaper. Both long torn down now, Someone`s lost dreams, faded hopes. I bet we see a lot more of these in this economy, could even happen to any of us...sad sad.

  • Thanks so much for your personal and sincere comment. These old houses that outlive their families always make me sad...sad for them, sad for the people who once loved them. I suppose most of us have a few of those in our memory...

  • Where is this at?

  • Thanks so much for your interest. Filming was done in the Blue Ridge Mountains of Virginia, part of the Appalachian chain... about a mile from my house. :)

  • this is so beautiful, thank you for sharing, it brought back a lot of memories, from my childhood, where i was raised in the 50s yes a house is only a home, when the people that live there love it, and the house and the people take care of each other,i love how the flowers still grow, because thier watered by the well of Gods living waters, thier sprouting in the love of Gods sunlight, and they cant help but grow, again i thank you, it brought tears, as abondoned houses and people always do,

  • Hi Judy...thanks so much for this lovely and insightful comment. So glad it reminded you of home and all those beautiful memories you have. Abandonment is hard to take under any circumstances and I have the same response to it that you do. So glad you stopped by, so glad to meet you!

  • 5 and fav-- came back again !!

  • Wow! Thanks for the 5 and fav !! So glad you returned ... you are welcome on my channel any time! Suze :)

  • you sure are making us homesick--lol

we lost our home in 1996 to the shennedoah river. we had 3 feet of snow and then 3 inches of rain and it rose up and our house was under water for 6 days !! we lived on the river !!

  • very beautiful and nice story with the vid

it is so far away feels like a home stay

  • Thanks so very much for the lovely comment. Your winter video made me feel right at home also. I love it when people film the ordinary things around where they live!

  • Hi bean blossom! that's my kinda house...and home.

  • Hi Woody ... So glad you like the house/home. I love the way it speaks of things... and it would fit right into that channel description of yours. :)

  • One beautiful video...

  • And one lovely comment ... thank you so very much! :)

  • melancholia! adorable feeling1 great video!

  • Thanks Syd.... your opinion always means so much to me. Thank you...

  • Nice, well put together vid...sad..but it is so common these days.

Oh...perfect choice of music too :)

  • Hey Travis...great to see you! Thanks for stopping in ... so glad you liked this video. It was a labor of love because I used to play at that house when I was a kid.

  • Ahh, cool! I think I know just how you feel..

  • thanks so much for this suuzzee5, you have a great talent.

  • Thanks for your kind words. I appreciate them very much!

  • I am so glad that you now have a video camera! This was excellent. You really captured a mood that would not normally go noticed.

I feel as though I've been away for too long. But we're all back now, and back to making videos too!

Hope all is well with you, and look forward to hearing from you soon!

  • Well...hello there! It's great to see you! I've been mostly away from YT this summer as well. I actually still don't have a video camera...am shooting video clips with my trusty old still cam and still dreaming about that HD camera I can't afford. lol

  • My fav. piece

    beautiful video

  • Thanks so much! It's one of my favorite pieces also.

  • What a fantastic feel to this video!

    Nice images!

    Five stars.

    Eloy

  • Thanks so much, Eloy... I truly appreciate your comments and all the nice stars.

  • Oh yes there is. As long as I breath Allie's place will be live. I remember playing in the yard and riding our bikes by with your brother. A nice family that the old house reminds me of many fond memories. The music of "B" is my favorite. My favorite tune of all time is "Fur Elise". I even heard a souped up synthesizer version played on a Commodore computer and loved it as well. Boy, does that date me or what. Anyway your videos are wonderful as is your choice of music. Keep it up.

    Ronnie

  • Thanks so much for your wonderful comments!! The presence of place exerts a very powerful influence for all of us. Feels as if I can sometimes see the movement and hear the voices of the people who were here before me.... and can see myself as a child as well...

  • There's so much heart in this video ... o my ... perhaps it's the reason, that Beethoven wrote it ... But I love you video soo much!!

    With every wish,

    Bernhard.

  • Bernhard, thank you so much for this lovely comment. Am so glad you enjoyed this video. This one was a joy to do and yes, the Beethoven is so perfect under any circumstances. Always good wishes to you... Suze

  • Thanks to Ottawarocket for leading the way:) Thought provoking - Touched my heart 5 all the way *****x.

  • Rocket is the best! Thanks for your sensitive comment... am so glad you enjoyed the video... Suze

  • There is a lot of energy in a home. It doesn't merely keep the rain off. Cool video & poetry.

  • Thanks so much for leaving this nice comment... much appreciated!

  • Your are not only a poet with images but with words too. Loved what you wrote in the description, goes very well with the images and music. Please keep the videos and poems coming...

  • Hey there to my low bro...always so good to see you! Thanks for the kind words... I write about as much as I breathe, so there will be more coming... lol

  • This is my favorite of yours, and I've saved it under one of my playlists. Your sentiment flows throughout the video.

(YouTube says my message is too long, so I'll continue by cutting and pasting.)

  • Why is somebody else's abandoned or broken down house so touching to the rest of us onlookers? Driving by someone's current home, I see perhaps an aesthetic quality (or lack thereof) or a utilitarian purpose. But when a house is left behind, I see a sense of loss. Why was it left behind? Where are the folks now? Why is it still standing -- can it still be a symbol of the builder's or owner's dignity?

  • Thank you for enjoying this video and for putting it in your playlist. All the questions you asked are excellent.

These abandoned houses are living, breathing entities. I stood in our valley a few weeks ago and could all but see and hear the people who lived there 200 yrs ago... it's downright eerie. I see them and their lives and their dreams... and cry for them, long gone... only their orchards and broken houses attest to their lives ever having been lived...

  • If I may say, You really was in the zone on this one. Love it greatly and it's very much Appreciated. A great gift of the eye to see the beauty as you have done here!

    Beautiful and awesome, completely!

  • Wow... that means so much coming from you because I admire your videos a great deal. Thank you!! It's so odd sometimes, this channel of mine... I just film whatever is foremost at the moment... and it works out somehow... Thanks again!

  • Further thoughts, after looking through the comments...

Though I've never encountered a home I knew personally, as you did, I have seen those where abandoned gardens still grew, and Mom's flowers still bloomed. It may have been 50 years. A hundred years. But there was a magic to them, as if an unknown soul still watched over them.

  • Thanks so much for all the sensitive things you said here! So glad you've hiked these mountains and seen some of these old abandoned homesteads. In the case of the Ingram house, the parents died and the kids had to move away to find work. You lived here...so you know how economically depressed the region is. Miss Allie's flowers blooming so brightly in the side yard among the ruins... that's how this house spoke to me... that and my own childhood memories of this wonderful family...

  • Beautifully done, Suze! So sad, but so true. Hiking and exploring the Virginia mountains, I discovered many such abandoned homes. Some were magnificent structures. In some cases, the last members of the family had passed away, and there was simply no-one left. Their ship had sailed. And yet, sometimes you could still feel the vibrance, the life within.

Fascinating places to go back and visit again, and just sit and reflect.

  • Suze -I love stuff like this - I would love to photograph these places - albeit sad, it's art to me!!!

    Thanks, Virgil

  • Hi Virgil...Thanks so much for such a sensitive comment. You've struck the exact chord that's in my heart when I see these places... I have hundreds of pictures of abandoned and decrepit buildings here in the mountains. I agree... they are art. Any time you see one of these images and want a good quality copy, just let me know... happy to send it to you. :) Will be catching up on your videos soon... I'm about 4 weeks behind. HUGS! Suze

  • What an interesting and relaxing video!! I like the way you shot the houses, through the beauty of flowers... 5 stars

    Yvonne,Bob and Kazandra

    Ava,Illinois

  • Thanks for being such a sensitive viewer. Miss Allie's flowers were what inspired the video and I'm always so glad when people truly see them with the heart. :)

  • This reminds me of going by my grandfathers old house not too long ago. In your video I see his house. You look and see the weeds , open windows, cracked paint and all but then the beatiful flowers remind you that all your memories are still right here. Thanks for the memory trip to ( Papa Brock's ) house. --:)Rod

  • Am so glad you got to go to Papa Brock's house for a visit... I love that! If Miss Allie's roses not been blooming in the dooryard, I probably wouldn't have made this video. Even though it broke my heart to see her flowers there, those roses also reminded me that love never dies, not really. All those memories you mentioned.. that's what these old houses do for us. Thanks so much for the best comment to date on this video! HUGS!!

  • So many memories here in this wonderful video. I almost feel like I've been to those houses. I love to just sit and reflect sometimes. You have a real talent for putting across beauty in so many ways. Really lovely. Dan =:)

  • I was so overwhelmed with memories when I was filming... and the thing is, no words can convey, you know? Each of us has these impressions and memories of places where we played as children, but finding the words... man oh man...

Thanks for you kindness and just for being YOU! You know how much I love your music.... HUGS!! Suze

  • okay Sista Sue, I will look forward to that! I am OH SO READY to do some traveling!

  • when will wayne be there? I wish we could follow the Pow Wows around, ever been to Cherokee NC>? been wanting to go there. TTYL Bud!

  • He'll be there on August 4th for the Agape benefit. It's $25 a pop but for a good cause. I've been to Cherokee several times but not for years. You really should go! Next time I light out for Floyd or the Parkway for some spiritual gathering or the other, I'll call you. The Blue Ridge Music Center also has interesting events sometimes. :) Later... :)

  • Yep,strange, as I have not removed anything, but no matter, wherever you saw that it was mine, I appreciate the acknowledment!! That sounds great Sue! Hey, my work will be at the Wolf Fart House thru August if ya wanna check it out, your guy will be there! Hugs! susi and yeh, let's get 2gether!

  • Will see your work when Wayne Henderson plays at Wohlfahrt...really looking forward to both! What I've seen so far is truly magnificent! I'm waiting for permission to use the flute music to begin putting a video together for them. That's going to be a pure labor of love... got some great footage and several wonderful stills. Gotta get a faster cam, Susi... lol Was trying to film hummers this morning... :) Hugs and hope to see you really soon!

  • Thanks Suuuzzee!! Ya know , I can't even find the picture on my web site! Anyway, I appreciate the credit for the pix and glad you found it suitable! Hugs and Hope to see ya for some more Buddy time!

  • This is strange... I can't seem to find him either but I think he was on the photography[dot]biz site in the Gallery somewhere. Can't locate him on photobucket either. We'll definitely get together again soon, maybe this weekend we could go to that old house with the flag on it... So don't let it rain... :)

  • Hi Suuzzee! Great video, loved it and love spending time with you this weekend! we will have to hit these roads together soon and share our love of these abandoned 'homes...

    Hugs and peace , susi

  • :)) Hello Susi...thanks for the thumbs up on the video. I'll put credits in the description and will direct folks to your websites. Your pictures of the pow wow are beautiful and captured something essential of each person's spirit! This was a really cool weekend and you were a big part of that. Yeah, road trip!! :)

  • I love Beethoven - especially the Mondscheinsonate. It touches my heart and your video fits very well. Thank you so much!

    With every wish, Bernhard.

  • It's one of my favorites also. So glad you came by for a visit...thank you so much! Love and light, my friend... Suze

  • Beautiful!! Fab video!! Very nice, Suze! And thank you Nancy for sharing it, too.

    Sandy xx

  • Hi Sandy ... thanks so much for your kindness. Glad you enjoyed the viddy. Nancy's a doll! :)

  • What a moving video. I've just come over from Rods channel and so glad I did. These abandoned houses remind me of parts of Ireland where the potato famine caused such similar scenes as this - abandoned cottages over the countryide. I particularly love this Beethoven sonata as it is one my hubby plays.

    Nice to meet you :0)

  • So lovely to meet you and what makes it nicer is having been introduced by such a wonderful friend as Rod. :) Just came from your channel and see that you follow Danny Knapp's music... cool! Thanks for your sensitive comments. The Appalachian Mountains and Western Ireland were once one and the same mountain range so I'm not surprised that there's a resemblance. Hate to see the beautiful old homes become abandoned in any country...

  • What a beautiful tribute to these old structures that have so many stories if walls could speak. I really have a thing for old houses and so I loved this video.

  • Thanks so much, Raven. I appreciate your sensitivity to these old abandoned houses and am glad they speak to your heart. HUGS!!!

  • This film touches the heart Suuzzee, I look at the old houses and I can see the children laughing and playing, clothes hanging on a line to dry, Mom with her hands in the soil..The music fits very well, great pictures.

Thank you for posting this***** :)

  • Thanks so much for your lovely words and for all those stars. Seems as if these old houses speak to everyone who connects with them. I sense the people who once lived there but even more than that, it's about the feelings of despair and loneliness that change can bring about. Being at the house after so many years was oddly disorienting...

  • yes I can understand, I used to go to Western Mass. years ago for vacation, now when I return, the ol' country store is broken down, roof caved in, all overgrown, and the owners books and inventory papers are still inside..Definate lonliness, I can just imagine what it must be like to see your old home, alone and abandoned

    Memories....... :)

  • Very touching video Suze. I think i can really understand your feelings... many times i stop by old houses in my town that were filled of childs (friends of mine) and people during my childhood and now they are simply falling down after all the people moved away. When i see them i stop and think of that with some sadness feelings and i think it is the same things that you wanted to show (even if you did it much better than i ever could :)).

  • Sorry if my comment can sound a little strange but i have some problems to find the right words this morning :).

You did a great job but i think it is not necessary to always repeat you this huh? I love all of your works and going to fav this one too :).

    Many hugs, Giovanni

Ps I think you couldnt pick a better soundtrack for your video. Great choice!

Pps... sorry for the excessively long comment :P

  • {{{ Gio }}} You're one of my favorite people and you could write chapters of comments and I'd think that was just wonderful! :)

Thanks for your sensitive comments about your friends' houses. The house in this video spoke to me with the voice of abandonment and loneliness and despair. The mother's roses that still bloom in the sideyard long after the family members' deaths ... that's what got to me the most. Videos like this one...they change you while you make them...

  • Great visual narrative. A touching story told with pictures. Thank you. Liz

  • Thanks so much for your sensitive commentary, Liz. Haven't forgotten that I promised you a song. It's in process. :) Peace... Suze

  • Thank you, Suze. Their is so much heart in your work. I love nature and feel you share that love too. We look forward to featuring you. Be well, my friend. Liz

  • Oh, the stories that could be told, if one cared to listen, to the moans and creaks emanating from yesterday's vibrant soul! The roses still give life to the old house.....

This is lovely, Suze! Thank you for allowing us to see a part of your past.

    Take care! Peace to you!

  • It's almost the bewitching hour for you... :) Several months ago when my satellite was down for 2 weeks, I found that there's lots of time in the day! :) Thanks for such a sensitive comment on my video...would love to hear the stories of those old houses. This whole life thing in relation to time... feels to me like a gigantic flat wheel slowly turning on an axle. It's turning under its own weight...no hand on the crank. Love ya, Chuck...have a great break and come back filled with music!

  • Hi Suzy, The music and your words are just so very beautiful. You sure touch many hearts . Thank you so very much for sharing. 5 ***** --:)Rod

  • {{{ Rod }}} Welcome back...hope you had a good trip. I haven't checked the mail yet because it's been storming here. Thanks so much for your kind words and for all those stars. It's really great to see you again... :) Suze

  • Great Video and Music;

    wonderfull Story.

    many Greetings Angeline.

  • Hello, Angeline, It's very good to see you! Thank you for the kind things you said about my video. I hope you will visit my channel often. I'll keep the teapot on ... :)

  • Wonderful video and poetry... mesmerizing production, I enjoyed it very much... FrAnK (5*****)

  • Thanks for all those kind words and the lovely stars. I really like your latest video... nothing like returning to the wild. lol

  • wow Suze!incredible beauty in all the lonesome misery of a desolate town.the haunting song fits perfect with this beguiling masterpiece of artwork.

  • Hello cuz ... It is amazing how much beauty can flow out of something so lonely and desolate. The beauty of this video is all in my memory, I'm afraid, because the house is falling down. This is a darker piece than my usual, but that stuff appeals to me. Love it when you sing those tearjerkers on your fine channel. HUGS!

  • This is really moving with your words and Moonlight Sonata. I love the way you capture the sunlight shining on the bare bones of what used to be vital and radiant.

  • It was the mother's roses still abloom in the side yard that brought me to my knees. Thanks so much for your lovely commentary, Maureen. It's always such a pleasure to hear from you! Isn't it about time for you to post another beautiful piece of music? ;)

  • The roses were what made the stark contrast so intense. Reminds me of the song Barbara Allen. Thank you for your kindness. I have plans to post again soon.

  • Lovely sentiment Suze.

    I wish I were there.

In my 1930's building here in Southeast London, there are over 100 apartments, with probably 20 or so similar buildings close by. 150 yards away, at the end of my road are seven lanes of traffic going into central London. Your posts are really special.

    Love to all,

    Barry

  • Good morning, Barry ... and thank you so much! I think about this a lot...that each of us films the world as it is around us and as we connect to it and feel it. Your videos are every bit as special to me as you have just described! Music such as yours inspires and connects my heart to things I would miss were it just left up to me. :) Best love...Suze

  • What a beautiful idea for a video...it was the description and poetry that really caught my attention, you're really an excellent writer, and it just made the video that much more meaningful. Great work!

  • A beautiful video, which brought a beauriful idea.Thank you so much for sharing this.

  • Thank you for watching and leaving such a lovely comment, Herman. Always so glad to see you!

  • I just love you're videos Suzzee- great old weathered buildings appeal to me- I like paint and draw them- thanks again and keep up the good work!

  • Thanks so much for your kindness, Richard. I think you've been holding out on us... :) Just to be sure, I went through your video log and couldn't find any paintings or drawings. Would love to see some of them in one of your videos if you'd care to share them. One of my favorite things to photograph is weathered paint on wood. It makes me feel warm inside just looking at it. :) But I'm not at all sure that a 3-minute study of painted boards would appeal to many people. lol Cheers...

  • The video tells a story and your poem is beautiful. 5*****

  • Thanks so very much for your lovely words and for all those stars! These houses tell stories of the heart...

  • this video is marvellous but so sad; I'm sorry for those old ships in the green ocean.

    HOBOSEAN

  • Hello to you on this lovely sunny day... Hope you are having a good week. Thank you so much for your kind words. Your empathy for these abandoned relics means a lot. Are there houses like this in France?

  • yes, in the country of France, we have many old houses whose are abandoned; but some are buyed by strangers like english and deutsh and

    netherlanders people.

so long my friend; have a good day

    HOBOSEAN

  • i was looking back a bit this week ...at the house i grew up in...its a bit weird really....nice vid suze...lovely music...didn't know you could play piano :o :)

  • The presence of place is always a bit weird, I think. The memories... passage of time... The mother's roses still blooming is what did me in when I went back to this particular house. Just broke my heart, dunno why... Yeah, I've been playing piano since I was 8 or 9... but as you may have guessed, this isn't me. :)

  • well....i think its about time we heard you play us a tune on your piano...you could even make a video of you playing it... :)

  • lol ... when pigs fly ... I'm a pretty ballsy chick and not shy until you put me in front of a black box with a lens and a blinking red light...and then it's on. Don't ask me why. It's like a phobia or something, Rich. It's even worse than the caterpillars phobia. Believe me, I'm not thrilled with the situation and have been trying to figure it out all year. Been this way all my life... but thanks for asking. :) How's your arm? Been to the doctor yet?

  • be brave suze...why not?.....my arm fell off...i put it in the bin ...with my head.... :0 ....seeing the dr in a week or so....she on holiday....she's a german surgeon....good with a knife.. :)

  • holy mother of.... a surgeon??? Rich, have you considered acupuncture? I swear by those guys. And as for bravery, I'm not very. And you know that. And you're doing it again... lol There would never have been a tag video without that incitement from your channel... :) I have recorded something acapella and may put that up. May... :)

  • Sad, but also very beautiful video and wonderful music that is very fitting of the subject matter. Thank you for sharing Suze! Mark

  • Thanks so much, Mark. It's a video of pure feeling and heart for me. I'm really glad folks seem to like it.

  • ..you placed me there.. thank you r.

  • Hi Robert ... thanks for being there! HUGS! Suze

  • I Likes.

  • I Glad :)

  • Me too's

  • SUPER SUZE

    5 of them

  • Thanks for all those stars, Rudy ... hope things are going well on your part of the planet. :)

  • If mankind were to be wiped off the face of the earth, New York would be overgrown, and in five hundred years would be so covered in vegetation it would no longer be visible from space. Lovely vid Suze!

    Ronan

  • Thanks for leaving such a cool comment, Ronan. The History Channel (TV) has a documentary that shows exactly what you are saying. I've watched it several times and am left with an eerie feeling about global issues. The good mother will simply shake us off her back one of these days... :)

  • a wonderful piece of art. this one is far beyond organic. garageboogieband

  • Wow, this is one of the nicest things anyone's ever said about my stuff. Thanks so much!

  • great impressions again Suze really love this pictures they show how times runnin over and left behind some traces of life we have to keep on keepin on

    love the melancholy piano too

you put some desire to my heart with this fantastic vid thanks my friend

hugs love and peace to you Suze

    Folker

  • It's as if the whole thing were laid out in a straight line having many curves and branches. Time is such an interesting concept...do you think it's inside of us or outside of us? I wonder... Thank you, Folker, for being such a magnificent friend and for all your kindnesses. Hugs and kisses to you and your family in Germany --->>> there they go, straight to you!!! :)

  • It's an ebb and flow, isn't it? The land swallows up all trace of it's inhabitants until someone comes along, cuts down the trees, plows the land and starts all over again. The sound of children, families together, will replace what is there now. You wait and see.

  • I think you may be right, Robert. It's evolution in daily life in an unexpected form. But I probably won't be around for the next wave of families in the valley. There's no jobs, nothing to draw people here. Thanks for your sensitive comments. Always great to see the great Robert Pina... HUGS!!! :)

  • Probably, this music is the important thing for which your recollections were suited.

It was the video which was wonderful though there was sorrow.

  • It is so good to see you, calitch! I have been watching for your next video and look forward to hearing more of your wonderful music. Thank you for watching my video and leaving this nice comment.

  • A House is not always a home

    life goes on

we aren't able to carry everything with us

sometime a house turns to an anchor that you have to get rid off in order to start a new journey....awesome documentary

  • Hello lemon... I just realized that we've been talking all this time and I don't even know your name... :) Thanks for leaving such a thoughtful comment. I love the feeling of your words, of weighing anchor to begin a new journey...

  • hello Suze, you are very welcome for all the kind replying words. i've watched this vid a couple of times more as i really like it much. you are one of those who make youtube goes round with your support and your dedication at the good taste. keep it up

  • The times must have been very hard back then but I could easily have lived then... Thanks for leaving such a sensitive comment and all those stars. :)

  • great fotos. Makes me want to come to visit even more now. Great poem.

  • Thanks sweetie ... so when ya coming? :) My trip to Ireland may be back on, just not as soon as I'd hoped. Will let you know more about that as it unfolds and I'll hope to cross the Channel to at least have a cuppa tea with you. :)

  • Ohh the stories these old house's could tell. When love and life filled them. Sure tugs at the Heart Strings. Excellent Video, beautiful music

    and poem. (5*) Sherry

Thank you gimillsinger for the share.

  • It's very nice to meet you, Sherry. Thanks so much for your sensitive viewing and commenting. These houses speak to the heart and tell their stories there. Thanks for all those lovely stars! :)

  • Getting deep girrrl...so sad :(

  • Deepness and sadness weren't the goals of filming, but when I encountered this beloved old relic with the mother's roses still blooming in the yard, it broke my heart. Cried the whole time I was filming and am still under the influence. It's the heart's awareness of what we've all lost over the years in this country, as well as the lost friends from that particular house... Will do a more cheerful video next time, I promise. :)

  • It's amazing how quick buildings can become dilapidated looking. I used to make deliveries to this one store, and they went out of business a few years ago. Now grass, shrubs and trees are growing out from their pavements, and the place looks like it's been that way for decades, rather than 3-4 years! I love the Rustic look of old buildings and the areas that they reside in!

  • I hear you, Diesel... Have you seen that show on The History Channel regarding what will happen to the earth within 500 years of man's becoming extinct? It's one of the most haunting programs I've seen and an excellent reminder of what pissants we are in the grand scheme of things. Aren't I cheerful today... lol

  • Fantastic melancholy footage and great poem Suzy * * * * *

  • You're very kind...thanks so much! And thanks for all those fantastic stars! :)

  • My heart is eased to know that people still feel the tremendous beauty all around us....thank you for this suzee.

  • A fellow time traveler ... the heart always knows. :)

  • so sad to see these houses of neglect where there was once love and laughter. The beautiful flowers show the love that went into making these homes5*****s

    Di

  • Hello Dianne ... I think it was that her flowers still bloomed, and that is what absolutely broke my heart. I was in tears the whole time I was at the house, not sadness exactly but something much deeper, a sense of all that's been lost to all of us.

I appreciate so much your watching the video and leaving such a sensitive comment. Thanks!
