  • he was trippin' balls hahahah

  • AHAHAHAHAHAHAH!!!!!!!! ACIDOOOOOOOO CARLITOOOOOSSSSS!!!!!!!

  • this tells me that somewhere there's a tape of santana's entire set at woodstosk. i wish it was available for sale

  • @mikemll When the video came out I also saw a video with Mike Carabello's explaining how they had to remaster and over dub parts of the video because the original sound was messed up. I doubt there is any more footage because at the time the group was not that well known and probably only one tune off each band was filmed

  • Nice, filming a TV.

  • Man, Carlos Santana was like 22 here.

  • UNO DEI MIGLIORI

  • i saw a clip of an interview where santana said he was on mescaline and had to go up on stage way earlier than he expected. he sure played well for bein on that level

  • it sounds like whoever is recording this video is singing to it in the background. i really really wish they werent. kinda ruined the video. vote up if you agree! haha!

  • Although seeing Santana many times during the '60s & "70"s I never was up and personal as shown in this video. I'm reminiscing as I listen . They played a great concert!!!!

  • @Motherjeannes mmm. I think you missed a word or two there. No sure by what you mean by never was up.

  • @MicrosoftsourceCode Don't you mean "not sure"? Anyway, Motherjeannes is making perfect sense - They mean they never were this close to Carlos when they went to see him play.

  • @skinnytinny Ok on same page. I have the same feeling about many musicians and music types. Notably Sara Niemietz. six years ago I did not know who she was or why she wanted to add me as a friend on Youtube. Now I hear her music nearly every where

  • gregg rolie journey on vocs--keys

  • MicrosoftsourceCode sure likes to hear himself type

  • @LarryBirdThe33rd yeah I love it so much I type with both my ears and nose.

  • @LarryBirdThe33rd

Santana played world music! I'm 25 years old so not from that period but I'm a backpacker and had the best nights with Santana music playing while sitting at a campfire on the beach getting stoned

  • I watched a documentary on Woodstock '69, and Carlos Santana said he was high on mescaline when they preformed! He said the neck of his guitar started looking like a snake! I say that is one hell of a talented musician who can play like that while on mescaline!

  • Sorry everybody, just don't get this. Sounds too niche. Almost muzac.

  • @problembehaviour well youre a youngster and don't know any better so we as a majority will spare you... educate yourself a.s.a.p. then we will discuss this as what it is !!! what youre apparently listening to has warped your mind but you are almost 1 that can be saved and brought around to enjoy TRUE MUSIC !!! there is hope so just hang in there and we will try and guide you....

  • Una maldita leyenda... gracias por la musica Carlitos...

  • @luisjavier485 hey whats that in ENGLISH .... YOU POO HEAD!!!

  • Excellent band !!! , unknown at that time but later on one of the greatest !!! Santana gave Rock Music an acid Latin "Sabooor" !!!

  • @sexalcohoatl Unknown by who?. I knew about Santana when I was 9 years old living in Africa. They where many other people that played Latin rock. Rock and Roll, Rock, reggae, pop, Jazz and most morden music styles were created from a mixture of colours and races. I have had to top comments on my other Santana videos because some people just want to use music to play the race card.

  • @MicrosoftsourceCode Man,Bill Graham agreed to help recruit bands for Woodstock under the condition that Santana A LITTLE KNOWN BAND AT THE TIME perform at the show.Graham then booked Santana on a tour of musical festivals to prepare the band for the overwhelming crowds at Woodstock, since before this SANTANA had only performed for small audiences on the West Coast..."Sexalcohoatl" was right,he didn't say something wrong or stupid about Santana.I wonder why he didn't reply ??

  • @MicrosoftsourceCode Right on! As if Columbus discovered America! I still hear so called "intelligent" people repeating that nonsense.

  • It ROCKS!!!!!

  • Carlitos Santana, que forma de tocar la guitarra.. The mexican - yankee

  • @JoacoIngMex what is this all of a sudden MEXICAN FUCKIN RADIO ???

  • @MrJimbobnmo what the fuck are you talking about? just because they speak spanish? Santana was from mexico, dipshit.

  • @BlazeetSKANK I always thought he was cuban for some reason haha I don't imagine him with a mexican accent now, oye chico !

  • @JoacoIngMex CARLOS SANTANA IS MEXICAN ,

  • Del putas .. Música tocada con el ALMA ... Sentida ... Thank you Carlos Santana y su grupo desde Barranquilla, Colombia: josé marchena ramírez

  • r.i.p. Gheddy

  • Franco can play Santana.

  • se sentia el aroma de la caca de mono aaauuuuu

  • @vimaro23 ...Que te pasa vampiro?!...Que?...Fumaste de la buena ?... No confundas el aroma wey.

  • He was trippin on Petote during this performance. But who wasn't high? seriously.

  • @kevoishere1 peyote dude

  • @markosmend obviously. because accidently pressed "t" instead of "y." don't you have better things to do?

  • @kevoishere1 no

  • They may have not "changed" the world, but the music world was seriously impacted and in many ways transformed because of the 60's. Those artists made it known that musicians have the freedom of speech too.

  • Haha, "the end came in 1978", thanks a lot ,that's the year I was born!

    ;)

Whenever the end comes there will surely be peace then. So, it's a win-win situation we're in ! Lovely ! Flower power wins!

  • Love potion number 9

  • Incredible.

  • wasnt he trippin on mescaline when he did this? good trip!

  • @yourmajesty07 until that "Woodstock then and now" special I always thought he was just really into it haha.

That bit of interview brought those faces into a new perspective. could you imagine trying to stay on time while you think your axe is turning into a fucking snake?

  • @yourmajesty07 I think it was acid but yeah lol

  • The only time I've heard Santana sound like a garage band.

  • Excelentima interpretación de Santana.

  • In 1969 I was hanging out at love-ins in Griffith Park, but does this bring back memories. We were going to change the world. Messed that up totally. We had the best of intentions though.

  • @innerstorm2 So you are to blame for the state the world is in HUH

  • @MicrosoftsourceCode Personally for me the end came at the Democratic Convention protests in 1978. Stange how watching a pregnant woman pushing a baby stroller can change your attitude. I learned who really had the power in this world, and wept.

  • @innerstorm2 I thought you were around my age from your pic. Feel free to explain what was going on. I was going from country to country when I was in my early teens.

  • @MicrosoftsourceCode I watched her being beaten with nightsticks while her baby screamed. The moment is etched into my mind forever. I see the young ones on You Tube say if marshal law was ever declared in this country that those in uniform would never fire on their own people and I worry. They never lived through Kent State. They are innocent like we were. Dreams die hard.

I am around your age.....give or take ten years. :)

  • @innerstorm2 uh huh ...1978....right

  • @innerstorm2 yeah i hear ya... and agree.. it took me till 2000 when the asshole bush/gore retardarama took place and man what a disgusting aray it's been ever since... i havent been happy are so called happy since reagan left...so whatever we are doomed... no matter what beyond this point and have been 20+ years..

  • @innerstorm2 Did you help the boat people like Joan Baez?

  • @innerstorm2 and we have lots of pot and acid too!!! maybe that was the problem?????? peace and love bro..or is..or whomever you are!! love the same...

  • @innerstorm2 I think we have come full circle. Woodstock and what followed was a forewarning IMHO.

  • yeah it looks this lokks like its filmed from a tv

  • Caliente! Ame su musica!

  • Carlos looked hot when he was young.

  • Yes, he did....

  • this is very rare and good film!

    thank you very much!

  • its on the woodstock film on the history channel! hahahaha
