Para serte sincero nunca habia visto un cover asi me dejaste impresionado tu tecnica es increible y en lo personal amo a Dream Theater y me encanta ver este tipo de cover con esta calidad, a mi aun me falta para poder tocar incluso sus canciones mas simples sin embargo trato y trato hasta algun dia poder tocarlas y si fueras tan amable de pasarme que tipo de distorcion o que amplificador simulaste con tu pod a partir del min 1:18 creeme que me seria de gran ayuda felicitaciones tocas genial

@HELLNO10 really? i think you may be the first that does not like the tone, that's fine but I would respectfully disagree with calling the pod x3 live "crap", it is functional, convenient and does a good job for what it is worth, not everyone can have a Mesa Mark 5 or Axe-FX

Maybe I was too hard defining the tone, I would just like to point out one thing, over the years I noticed that try to get good overdrive or distortion with FX modeling is very difficult, maybe is worth to try but I really don't appreciate this approach. I use a Boss GT-10 just for effects (delay, Chorus, Reverb, etc) and for low gain distortion. For drive you can get better sound using a good pedal, my favorite is the Mesa Boogie V-Twin. You should try

Amazing job! I especially like the quality sound of both acoustic and distorted. I 2 dual pickups better then 1 dual with 2 singles? What kind of pick ups are the best?

You also hit the pedal and did not need to flip the finger switch?

@CalibanVOV thanks for watching. I don't believe it is a matter of what's better but what tone you'd prefer and what sounds good to you. I prefer humbuckers because I like warmer, fuller tones

@CalibanVOV I didn't have to move the switch because it is in the middle already and both sounds are active. The guitar has to jacks, one piezo and one magnetic. I send two cables from the guitar to the pod X3 which has two inputs and I assing the expression pedal to move swiftly between sounds.

great cover! the most precise i've seen this far. just the solo, try to play it at slower times than built up to be more clean at the final part, and the ending (about 8:20) its not that corret, but i don't blame you, it's extremely tough! besides, it's the most accurate notes of this song! excellent

@yatindimebag thanks, very simple, I bypassed all amps and cabinets and I'm only using some chorus, touch of delay and reverb and some EQ to boost the bass. On the JP I'm obviously using the piezo pickups with all the bass up and the treble almost at max
