Tell you what mate if you get chance take a look at the Yamaha Motif XS or XF7 or XF8 workstations i played one the other day amazing the keys are nicely weighted and the CP70 emulation was absolutely spot on no workstation has even come close The Nords were good in sound but awful on the action hardly any weight on the keys damper pedal was crap I love CP70s i have one but they pose problems theyre too big way too heavy and if you hit keys hard enough the strings snap and short the thing out
The piano part is great, congratulations ! But you would better stop use computer drums in your covers, it makes it sound cheap. Indeed you already got a natural rythm which is a luck... Don't give up, i could become one more fan :D
You Are My Favorite Person On Youtube. Because You Are Awesome At Piano And Have Keane's Signature PIano THE Yamaha CP-70.. (which i want badly) this is Beauty
I really enjoy your playing....and the CP70 is such a good sound..I have tried to emulate it using Piano 3 on my Roland MKS20...layered with cp80 /bright piano on my Yamaha psr450...but a real CP70 has that SOMETHING :)
hi i wrote a comment on your Bend and Break - is there any way I can get hold of these great keane piano covers please as I am setting up a good Keane tribute band (have been over a yr now). I do vocals, Keanes music are my home and inspiration... apart from other music and band projects this i really want this the most. BAND MEMBERS NEEDED!!! Please get in touch if ur interested on myspace/jez72 Thanks! jezzz
I do use the laptop, but only for the drums, bass, strings, and synths. I also use if for a click track. In some videos you can hear it at the beginning and during drum breaks.

Yes, I love the CP70 sound too. There is not much that can emulate it. The closest thing I've seen that matches it is on the Nord synth

How much cost your piano? It's Yamaha CP70B? And where did you get that?
Karolek2509 3 years ago
Yes it is a Yamaha CP70. It cost me about $600. I got it in the Twin Cities area in Minneapolis.
roxley2007 3 years ago
