I'm not a huge Ryoko fan (I prefer Ayeka), but Ryoko did NOT deserve to be slapped. The fact is, Ryoko didn't hurt Myuka, whether Tenchi knows that or not. And regardless of whether or not Ryoko can defend herself, she looked devastated and scared when Tenchi hit her. She didn't hurt him, so he had no right to hit her. And Myuka would have tried to kill Tenchi, whether her 'good side' knew it or not. So yeah, Poor Ryoko!

When I first saw this movie, I was at Fanime Con 1998 at Foothill College... and it wasn't even released on U.S. VHS yet. The very start of this clip is remarkably the exact moment in time that I entered the video room to see the movie. I remember it like it was yesterday. When Tenchi slapped Ryoko, the whole audience (including myself) gasped, and it wasn't until Yuzuha said, "there! Now we're getting some action. That's more like it", when the room erupted with laughter. :)
