  • Did she get a boob job? ;o because now her boobs are bigger than this vid ._.

  • @Xmiikkii3X no she just gains some weights, watch her videos in 1991,92 or around that time when she weared a tube dress and you'll see.

  • @TheJDorian You're fired

  • u noe what F5 means?? FUCKIN5 and FUCKIN#5!!! its like fuck!!! AMAZING!!! and that FUCKIN HIGH!!! she did at 8:56 Bb6??? PLEAAAASEEE! give me a break!!! im havin an OVERDOSE of goosebumps!

  • On One OF The E5 She Clearly Changed The Key And Went Up A Whole Step Up!!!

  • @Aontiverozol Mariah isn't an alto. She is a soprano, possibly dramatic one. It's weird, cos she has strong low register and can reach really low notes, but look how light are her middle and belting registers.

  • @fuckingbrill Yeah I wouldn't say dramtic though(Patti is that), she's a light lyric soprano:) But her lower reisgster is amazing!!

  • @MrButler124 Yes, now I see, I thought dramatic by her dark speaking voice, but I see her singing voice is very light ;)

  • @fuckingbrill Not only that, but Dramatic's tend to have a MASSIVE sound and metallic edge to their tones(likie Patti Labelle or Monica Narajano for example). Mariah is one of the best upper beltrs and perfect resonance and earthshaking power, but she doesn't have that metalliic edge nor that MASSIVE sound ususlaly haha. Yeah speaking voice and singing voice are different(well can be different) :) But yeah hehe

  • @fuckingbrill She is not dramatic soprano; secondly it is silly to use those terms, because A) she is not opera singer, b) she uses microphone technique not operatic technique so she can develop a full range. Her speaking voice is husky from nodules.

  • @rekupp I've explained my mistake in last comment.

  • The vocals were also clean and on point.

  • I loved her in 1996! One of my favourite MC eras (: right before the Mimi era started.

  • @Snookiiiii I prefer the 'old' MARIAH, too. Mariah with amazing voice, singing awesome songs. Not 'MIMI' which often lip sync and sing shit instead of real music.

  • @fuckingbrill lol

  • @fuckingbrill She only lyp syncs due to the fact that she needs to rest her vocal chords. She was born with nodules, so after singing for a long period of time nodule damage takes place, unlike a straining, offkey, low record sale flop. And I don't know which world you're living in, considering her studio albums since the start of the 2000s haven't lacked a single bit. Some lambs even prefer Mimi's music! I, for one, like her more from 1990 - 1996.

  • @Snookiiiii retard

  • @Snookiiiii nigger

  • 1:50 MERRY CRISTMAS GUYZ

  • There will never be any Mariah Carey. She's the only one left with an undisputed and unrivaled talent. Today's artists are just talking or humming with style. There's no solid singing. Anybody with sex appeal and cool hair can become a singer. I hope it could get better. God, please help us. Give us more Mariahs.

  • @bryl17 others may have a 5octave range but they dont know how to use properly like Mariah, her harmony, tone, melissma just everything cannot be matched, even her beauty she is one of a kind and cannot be duplicated

  • Mariahs F5, F#5, And Her Whistle E6 In Fantasy I Absolutely LOVE! <3

  • She mixes a lot of those top notes.

  • i agree! best singer, concert, voice ever!

  • i love the F#5 note she hits in chest voice, there's tons of them in this concert. very impressive

  • Mariah is impressive in all parts of her voice. Don't get me wrong I love her powerful yet silky smooth chest register and that impressive whistle register. Can't forget her hauntingly perfected lower range either.

But for me, her falsettos are so god damn pretty. The way she uses them in certain arrangements to complement her songs is genius. So slick.

  • She is defo the best by far no1 can touch coz she'll just blast them away wit tht 5octave range of hers lol and she is so god damn beautiful, she is the whole package and no1 can argue tht no matter wot end off. The tone, the ease, the notes just everything gives me goosebumbs from the one and only coz no1 can duplicate her Queen/Goddess Mariah Carey!!!!!!!!! thumbs up if u agree

  • She hits 16 Eb5, 8 E5, 7F5 , 12 F#5 & 1 G5!!! A M A Z I N G ! ..but..is not too much for one night?? :/ lol ..but this is my fav concert too

  • @veromariahfan and she did this on many evenings on the daydream tour

  • @veromariahfan i don't this video features all the notes from Eb5 to F#5 that she hit in this concert, but probably the best ones ;)

  • OMG! What was 2:02!?! I loved it so much!

  • Mariah's F5 is magical.

  • That G5 is legendary. I almost wish that was in the original...almost.

People who say that no one can belt F5 like Beyonce are sadly mistaken.

  • Comment removed

  • No other female artist has shit on this woman!! Even if they had the same range, they wouldn't be able to apply it the way MARIAH does!!!!!! :):):):):) She's a rare jewel!!!

  • @banantwon agree....what makes mc such a phenomenal MUSICIAN is not just her range, but her ability to apply her octaves and registers to blend into her music as well.

  • @banantwon She's a true angel from heaven and u r right is some1 had the sme range they wouldn't be able to use in the sme way Mariah does and we such ease or tone

  • @Shazni1409 meant to say witch such ease soz but still she's a goddess

  • i can't count all the F#5's here lol!

  • My favorite is when Mariah does those wrist flips while she hits an impressive high note...god I fucking love that bitch.

  • @tipofmytongue1024 Div-uh. haha

  • Really great video!

  • One person tried one of the whistle note and failed and choked!

  • Her F#5's are ridiculously good. There is so much resonance even in her A5's, that they don't even sound high. Her voice is probably the most consistent there is <3

  • I think Mariah sounded her best in the Music Box/Merry Christmas albums. I found her voice quite whiney during this era. I also loved her voice on the Emotions, Glitter and TEOM album :D

  • Her Lower Register Here Was Like Magic

  • that is the greatest G5 ever hit

  • she Emotions was amazin

  • whats song on 7:00 G5?

    happy new year!

  • @6edwwardd9 The song on 7:00 is "Hero"

    Happy New Year

  • Definitely Mariah's vocal peak. Her belts were unbelievable.

  • SHE'S THE BEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEST

  • This is my favorite era by mariah i just think she was at her best here. Some say she sounded thinner and airy here and i disagree. She was singing with that nasally yet creamy tone which sounded great but i see why that may have given off that impession. If people watch the 1996 grammys she didnt sing with that tone at all and sounded like her pre-daydream days. Anyways that performance of VOL was incredible, that F5 at 5:53 is amazing!

  • @CDionLive

Yeh i Prefere Mariah from 90-93

  • @WhitneyElizabethH i agree with you

  • @CDionLive Hey. agree partly, but for me 1996 isn't her prime. her tone was much nicer for me in 91-92-early 93 but yeah this concert is amazing. Also, the CD brunie show was good, but it is far from her prime. She couldn't even hit the note at the end of TPOL. For me, Dion's prime is 1993 during her TCOML tour :)

  • @petergriffin9901 i agree here isn't her prime but this is good not good like early 90's but good

  • F5 is her best voice, really loud and clear... by the way she's not a woman, she's an instrument!

  • I love this era of MC the most.. man... do they have the DVD for this particular concert in Tokya Dome??/??

  • She was superv and flawless during this era.

  • Okay. From this video I found I can hit A5 an a tad higher. That's interesting.

  • My absolute favorite part of this video is the fact that she chooses to open her tour with "Emotions", which coincidentally has both the highest and lowest note, to show her critics that no one messes with her.

  • I LOVE HER WHISTLE REGISTER !! ITS BEAUTIFUL AND DRAMATIC xDD and how her face turns into a smile... its so heart warming I LOVE IT !! xDD but im Jealous... my whistle register makes no sound because im gng through puberty =,= and its NOT FAIR DAMN IT ALL !! I LOVE YOU MARIAH CAREY !!

  • No other singer has come anywhere near this level of vocal perfection!!!!!!

  • mariah is the 3rd worlds best singer after celine and whitney .....but mariah has better range than celine and whitney

  • @Mcviscapat19

    Actually Mariah is 2nd

  • @WhitneyElizabethH i agree! and whitney is 1st in drug addiction!

  • @winwon74

And im 1st in your life! Because you love me !

  • @WhitneyElizabethH no i love whitney because i love drugs!

  • @winwon74

    Okay MUSIBI984!

  • @WhitneyElizabethH no its not ok! when taking drugs becomes ok? tell it to shameless whitney!

  • @WhitneyElizabethH Nope. Mariah is #1, shes got it all :)

  • @WhitneyElizabethH really? oh wow....can you give me the list of top 5?

  • this was just an awesome concert!!

  • I can hit Bb6 and im a dude Is that like normal? Haha

  • @killer7895123 no!lol but that is a good thing you can use that to your advantage lyke Mariah Carey used her ability to whistle to her advantage!

  • you can see she wasn't please with the D7 so she did the Eb7 that was great to see lol! :D

  • @iiAmitx3 she was sharp on the Eb7

  • @islandlife89 it sounds good to me lol

  • nobody can touch her songs......but her!

  • I'm a Queen Bee but Mariah has the most beautiful that I've never hear really

  • i super like this video!!!!

  • I love your vid.. thanks :-))

  • Comment removed

  • fave'd :)

  • THATS SO MAGICAL!

  • Thank U x great Job!

  • the D5 - Eb5's are really beautiful and should be used often... E5-G5 should be used sparingly as what she did...she's good at combining notes, when it is and when it is not to hit them... (as always hearing highnotes would be tiresome) .. this is PERFECT!

  • Them Eb5s are the business!

  • A Perfect Concert Forever

  • This is heartbreaking bc I think these concerts ruind her voice she song too high too much like on hero it was nice but she shouldn't have gone that high maybe if she had mined some like celine shed have her boo'e still

  • Gosh! I Hate when people a say this concert ruined her voice. No your Wrong, aswell as everybody else. Mariah Has Nodules , and by 1997-1998 they developed more and thats why her voice changed by that era, it had nothing to do with this tour, and singing "high", if it was due to that then all singers will lose their voice.

  • @Mcvideos92 Not to discredit what your saying, but there is actual video of Mariah giving a press tour where she states that shes a little worried about the toll that the tour may take on her voice because there was such little rest time between shows, with the Music Box tour she had a week between most shows, but this was the first world tour she did and many do feel she could have strained her voice, and "all" singers don't go as high as Mariah does, nor were working like she was at this time

  • @mcsguardianangel A concert can't ruine your voice. Doing concerts too often without resting voice for a few days does damage. Alcohol does damage. Aging changes voice too.

Just look how pathetic Aretha had become - she had to become a head voiced trauma to maintain her range after her menopause.

  • she still got it

  • Congrats on high notes... but 15 seconds really isn't massive

  • @ChukchiCatori

Find singers who have held notes for more than 25 seconds.

  • Ok...myself, my cousin, Desiree, and..oh yeah... a load of other trained singers from around the world O.o

  • Hey U Wish!

  • This concert (and era in general) = <3

  • yeah ur right but dont forget whitney her chest was out of this world to but there both good

  • I love it... Thanx

  • I mean 4 octaves. No she's not 3 octaves

try to compare the B5 of Whitney and Regine's B5 in Live performance

  • @fukiwow she has 5 octaves

  • HEHEHE friend relax don't get mad to me.

    Yes! I know

Actually friend she has a whistle but she did not used it only belt notes her name was REGINE VELASQUEZ just type

    Regine Velasquez vocal range

    Thanks

  • Using the word "3 Octave Only" is totally wrong... Mariah Carey's chest voice spans from E2 to A5 and that is 3.4 Octaves of chest voice which is wider than 99% of other females singer chest voice range... The only female singer who I can think of that has a wider chest voice than Mariah is Aretha Franklin who spans from F2-D6 which is 3.8 Octaves...

  • you want to hear 4.5 octave using belt only?

  • @WestVoice Aretha D6 is in head voice or in a mixed voice pretty close to head .

  • @WestVoice You forgot Jhud. She belts a C6 In chest Voice..

  • @Mcvideos92 Vocal range is the distance from one's highest note and lowest note. Jhud's lowest note is only Eb3, and her highest is C6, that gives her 2.8 octaves.

  • @Mcvideos92 This is not chest belting, this is mixed voice.

  • @WestVoice mariah lowest note was G#2 (interviewed in the radio).

  • @RaciouS91 that's live. her lowest note in studio is E2

  • and btw dubbing means they enhanced her audio. Its not like she re-recorded the songs or lips to prerecorded vcals like she does now. This concert is AMAZING.

  • The E3 of Always be My Baby is a C3! ^^

    Great Video!

  • Nope, it is an exact E3... Thanks for commenting :)

  • I couldn't understand.. nope but exact E3?

  • I mark the always be my baby low note as E3... MCfanforever said it's a C3 not E3 so I said I disagree becuz marking it as an E3 is already correct :)

  • Oh i see.. my bad

  • OK I believe you because I am not sure ^^

    Thanks for you answer!

  • I love her

  • Oh yes, similar video for Celine's Brunei concert would be great.

  • when one gets older its just too hard to have the same ammount of power to sing in amphitheaters. if we had her doing acoustic stuff people would see that she can still hit all the notes just not with the same power a 20 year old can produce. would you expect andre agassi to compete with kids half his age. not quite.

  • Wow she hits so many F#5 that night, and so easily. And with a quality that no one ever can match.

  • The note contains C#5, B4, Bb4, G#4 but mainly, F#4 is note she holds very long

  • She was so good here, too good. People started to take her vocals for granted as they were the norm for her (studio and live). If she did just one song, completely live, and up to this standard now, the world would go crazy. Shame. But I suppose that's what makes her a legend.

  • damm i miss mariah singing like this

  • I think her voice is still good now, only a little squeaky at the higher chest voice register, other than that her low notes, head voice and whistle register are still the same.

  • It doesn't matter if any parts are dubbed cuz no one can sing like her, and i'm pretty sure if any parts are really dubbed (which i doubt) NO ONE can sing her songs without themselves being dubbed

  • This first Bb6 is sooo AMAZING!

  • @Tomimomi455 It really is one of the most amazing sounds I've ever heard haha

  • Dude, then how come she's losing her breath at 9:40

  • /watch?v=jsC1WYJoLOI , o melhor vídeo do WestVoice.

  • gosh!!

    love her whistles

  • Mariah at her best, best era for Mariah vocally, her live skills were CRAZY dude!!!!

I will forever love that Mariah.

After that Tour, her voice never was at that level again.

Charmbracelet and TEOM era suck compared to her first years.

  • Her voice is really good this year, she just needs some good periods of rest, its not as good as 96 but how can you really top this?

  • I always thought she was on fire during the Mimi era and that if the AOM tour was only 6 shows with huge breaks in between shows then she would've almost equally the quality of the Daydream concerts.

  • she killed those F#5's in "Vision Of Love".

  • Yeah all her F#5 are absolutly AWESOME.

  • Shouldn't note be counted from 9:28?

  • thats what I do.

  • She didn't took a breath be fore "moreeee" so it's connected.

  • so actually she mainly uses her chest voice?

i heard that if you don't want to hurt your voice you should do a stable mix of ur chest and head voice . . i think that's why she hurted her voice recently :(

    her 90's years are GOLDEN

  • Comment removed

  • 9:29-9:30 she clearly took a breathe . . the concert is dubbed. .

and in forever too there's some dubbing

but this concert is straightly my fav concert ever ever !!

and thanks for the explaination it's awsome 5/5

  • @forevertony2006 That concert live her special in 1996 is changed in studio cause this show the impression is dubbed, but she sings live and edit this on studio after..

  • ye but still she takes a breath there can't you see ?

i konw it's perfect, i seen many snippets of emotions and i wish the undubbed version was released instead of the edited one . . she sounds fuckin awsome seriously

  • @forevertony2006 yes still great

  • It's not dubbed, it's just digitally enhanced so they can sell it in DVD, the one dubbed was Madison Square Garden 1995 which some parts are dubbed... Umm, I don't know about 9:29-9:30, I'll take a look and reply you back soon :)

  • It proves some parts are dubbed cause she is clearly taking a breath at 9:29 9:30 and there's no break in the voice.

But overall she was amazing that night.

  • yes i think some parts are dubbed too , but in that era she could really sing !!

  • Yeah we all know she could sing amazingly during Daydream.

But that is so OBVIOUS that she is taking a breath here.

  • Doesn't look like that to me though, she was just shakin her head... She was shaking her head after 9:29 too, throughout the run she was doing that so I don't see anything strange... And the audience audio MP3, it was the same

  • Great!! In charmbrecelet her voice was great too

  • great video

  • OMG I Just love MiMi's voice especially back in these days. Her Eb5's SLAY.

  • That E5 at 4:44 is extraordinary! SOOOO powerful

  • exactly !

  • This is the definition of a singer in their prime noone can top this. Mariah here slays anyone that has ever sung period!

  • @damskooo Why are you bringing Whitney and Aretha into this?

  • he said singer in her prime. 1996 was mariah's prime. those performances are after.

  • OMG!! i love it.

realy full vocal range in Daydream Tour Concert

  • amazing !!!

  • she sounds fantastic!!! Her voice was still very good back then! :)

  • the best G5 ive ever heard from hero :)

i hope she could sing Eb7 in chestvoice lol

haha just kiddin, i really love her falsettos and headvoice specially the F#5 in all i want for christmas is you haha :)

  • I love that G5 also, poked but very powerful

  • Plus she add runs in the end definitely wonderful

  • @WestVoice The G5 and her G#5 in hero versions is just in ending of the note

  • I said "poked", I know the beginning of the note is Bb4 :)
