Elenin has already caused 4 solar flares in the last 2-3 days directed toward earth as it approaches the ecliptic closest to the sun. I am not sure where u get off saying Elenin is not a threat. @morningmayan Listen, today is 9/8 and NASA has not come out yet and confirmed or verified that Comet Elenin has either desintegrated or broken up into pieces, anything else is just speculation and based upon what another comet did because Elenin was loosing its brightness. In the last 2-3 days we have had one M class solar flare and three X class solar flares all directed toward earth exactly at the precise time Elenin approaches the ecliptic closest to the sun. U better not celebrate to fast.

The data has been verified by Nasa and it was a Mass Coronal Ejection from flares on Jupiter. Seems the magnetic attraction of Elenin pulled flares from the surface and split the comet into two pieces and has them both sailing away from the original trajectory.
Elenin was not a threat to begin with. HaleBopp was way bigger and closer in 1997.

Elenin is still on course! I look at the signs around me, not just info I get on youtube. The sun sets further north than usual, the Earth has already tilted off it's axis. Look at the East coast last week. An unusual Hurricane and earthquake that cracked the Washington monument. Look at the volcano's erupting like never before. Something is effecting our planet and it's not going away but getting worse. Wake up and get out of CA while you can!! No fear intended.. just good advice!
