@FUCK202 SOOOOOOOOOOOOOO true! Americans, and I am one but more advnace I like to think in many ways, are still acting stupid after the GM Diesel fiasco of the Late 1970's and early to mid 1980's. Despite the fact tha GM RECTIFIED the situation, they are still too damn dumb to appreciate the glory of the diesel engine. TY for your truthful statement! ;-)
This is the w211 mk1, you can tell by the gear stick and the steering wheel mounted buttons. The mk2 has a round gear stick and bulging steering wheel buttons; thus this particular merc has 204 BHP

@dodgytomato1 The 2006 E 320cdi european version has a V6 with 224 bhp with 7g-tronic gear box not a straight 6 with 204 bhp ang a 5 speed gearbox....
@dodgytomato1 no ... it has a straight 6 with 201bhp for US and 204bhp for Europe ... If you are from US buy the petrol version E 350 v6 with 280bhp and a 7 speed gearbox.
btw, I ran the 1/4 mile with mine (it's got a minor Renntech tuning brings hp to 231 and torque to 400).. in 15.05 .. just google "E320 CDI 1/4 mile" and you'll see my results on dragtimes
2005-2006 are by far the best of the MB diesels imported into the US.. the new Bluetec stuff is junk... These are I6 iron block powered and will outlast the car body .. the newer Bluetec are aluminum block, and V6 (yuck).. on paper they're more powerful, but on the road there is almost no difference, and the CDIs get close to 40mpg realized milage at 60mph
Where are you getting those facts? The 2005 CDI model had a I6 turbodiesel with a displacement of 3222cc or 197 cu in, with a bore X stroke of 3.46X3.48.

Drove one of these cars today, friends dads. Seriously impressive car, fantastic power delivery and massive torque. 5 stars for the short time I spent driving it. Comfy too, I should add.
I went from a BMW owner to a Mercedes owner. I love the E-Class! I was actually considering buying a used model, like an 08-09 E Class because I liked the old design, but after looking around for 2+months, the cars either had too much mileage or where way overpriced ($40,000 for a 2008 model, while a 2010 costs $52k+). So, I bought a 2010 Mercedes E550 in Black. this car is smoking!!! I love MB
I have this exact car but 2005 model, it is not the best in winter driving due to the RWD only. It requires a 2nd set of (snow) tires. Overall it is a low maintenance car and I have no mechanical problems at all.
Actually, it just requires an old Chevy truck for about $1500. Leave the benz at home safe in the garage where it belongs on crash days. (snow days = crashes and road salt. Leave the expensive cars home).
On the gear box there is a "w" and "s" mode. in the "W" mode if you floor the car does it set off in first gear. Also does it rev as high as it would in "S" mode if you floor it.
Dogging? I have the same car and drive it a lot harder every day. Pushing the pedal to the floor for a few seconds can't hurt anything with an automatic.
The E320 CDI has 201 hp and 369 torque, the E320 Bluethech has 210 and 400 torque and the upcoming redesigned E class E350 CDI has 228 hp and 398 torque.
These are great. My 85 300D w/ 251,ooo miles still purrs like new. I hope to get one of these 320 cdi in the near future.

Diesel is an oil based fuel? do americans needs this simple fact pointing out lol dumbass yanks
bigjonnyjon 2 years ago
hey be nice now. every country's got a couple morons in it.
mi3pwns 2 years ago 3
@bigjonnyjon
Diesel is not based on fuel...
Diesel RPM is about 1000-4000rpm and red zone is on 5000-6000rpm when normal fuel have 1000-6000rpm and red zone is 7000-8000rpm.
Diesel also dont need a lot of fuel.
1 galon = 30 miles.
