Great vid! I used this as a guide to do my rears last year! I noticed you didn't remove the shims from your old pads to put on the new ones. Is that ok?
Just an update.....the job is done. Followed your directions exactly and was done in less than an hour. I didn't have a c-clamp so I used a piece of wood and forced the pistons in. Other than that, this was easier than changing my oil. Thanks again.
Nice video, I have found the easiest thing to do when compressing the caliper instead of putting it on the edge or inside, both can harm the caliper, put an old pad on the caliper and use the "c" clamp on the old pad. This way nothing can get damaged.
great vid but dont put the c clamp inside...........put it on the rim and trun it in to compress it..youll damage that unit....trust me on that one...but great vid
@MuscleLife23 actually your wrong muscle head putting it on the edge when u end up getting to the end u will tear the rubber which is on the edge so better on the inside but the proper way is with a caliper press but nice try
two reasons 1: if your brakes are old, the wear indicators are making it squeak. 2: if you did your brakes recently and they are squealing you need to put brake lube or anti sqeal anywhere the pad touches the caliper other than the side touching the rotor. do not put it on the side touching the rotor or you will have problems ok.
@rvkempf yeah easy as cake until you find out that the only bolt that will budge is the bottom one! Fuck it took me a while. But after almost giving up someone told me the top bot is seized! easy as Cake my ass! This vid saved me hunderds of dollar but DONT try to remove the top bold!
and boom here we go haha great video man about to change my brakes now!

Good vid, I just want to throw in that its handy to have a turkey baster around to draw out excess brake fluid if needed.

I'm confused with the c clamp. So it pushes the piston in so you can put the caliper back over the new pads?

Great video, just did my first brake job. This shows just how simple it is. Thanks for posting always to see it done before I venture into it.

You made a great video! This is super detailed and I am very happy to know your out there working on the Infiniti.
I have a question, does the caliper cylinder come out slowly after I remove it?
Also how can I tell if I have Brembo or Stock brakes on my 03 G35x Sedan?
Look forward to hearing from you.
GREAT VIDEO!!!

it will say brembo on the caliper and i believe the brembo may have more than one piston also but im not sure.
