Great performance by these Brit lefties. Love 'em.
What's with those lame kids in the audience? This song should send any real music into an Ian Curits-like seizures. Kids these days, I feel sorry for them.
Thanks 4 posting; one of my fav bands of the era...saw 5+ times including pier in NYC '82 & at Hurrah's...Jon's vocals sound great..better than ever..Andy G's guitar tone is, as always, awe inspiring...I miss Hugo's dissonance on drums...and Dave A is my fav bass player....Sara L was very good too...this lineup was very good...thank you again for posting...My dream would be to see GO4 in glasgow or in manchester some day. Cheers.
I was at this festival and the crowd was kind of pathetic. The majority of people there were teenage mall brats who left after Brand New and missed the incredible one-two punch of Gang Of Four and The Jesus & Mary Chain. It's a testament to their greatness that they played this fucking good to such a small, somewhat unappreciative crowd.
I am a limey communist....I've seen them maybe 5 times since 79....and the last time I almost fucking cried when they played this....they are the most influential, underated band there ever was
Thanks! They blew every band away at the show. Being a musician it was really inspiring to see them put their all into it, unlike other "reunion" bands that have come and gone. I'll be uploading more from this show as well...stay tuned....
This really captures Andy Gill`s live guitar-really pins you to the back of the wall-classic !!

Too bad the bass is missing in this audio. When you hear this at full bore, it'll give you chills.
