@metalskelly I don't think it's a breakdown. It just slows and changes to a really groovy rift but keeps a steady rythm. When Core bands have breakdowns to me all I hear are really slow chuggy riffs that have some kinda weird rythm(sometimes no rhythm at all) to them that i do not enjoy. That's why I say IMO that this is not a breakdown. You mentioned some dope bands as well Suffocation is heavy!!

This EP used to be my least favorite Bloodbath release but after listening through it a few more times I think it's just as good as the others. It's kind of like a sampler for the full onslaught that is THE FATHOMLESS MASTERY.

This has some variety unlike others, which lack in Bloodbath twistedidness, tempo variety, and of course that pretty unique ambiance *Which can be heared in Eaten for instance* But Bloodbath is very good band. (Just too bad Swanö left...)

haha yea only real downside to bloodbath: while their skill and talent are basically unmatched their songs tend to run together with other classic death metal sets. and this album doesn't really flow together quite as well as the first did. other than those minor details the band is great and the album is up there
