I think the the main point which people are missing is that it's just an amazing song.

I've seen duvall, maynard, and anselmo sing AIC songs, and I gotta say anselmo is the only one that does it right in my opinion. It's all about the emotion, and anselmo is the only one that really captures the correct emotion in my opinion. I don't think he could do some of the higher songs like man in the box that well but for songs like this he sounds great.
Yeah imagine... Finger in his ear to stay on key singing Would, Rooster, Don't follow, etc Why do so many people give Jerry all the credit? He's a piece in a puzzle. It's akward seeing him in a band of this style. But I'd say he did a great job. I think I like it more this way because I heard Phil's version before I heard Layne's version. And even DOWN releases shit that makes Phil act crazy/aggressive, like Lifer or Temptations Wings. A lot of Down isnt a soft as this song. I've seen duvall, maynard, and anselmo sing AIC songs, and I gotta say anselmo is the only one that does it right in my opinion. It's all about the emotion, and anselmo is the only one that really captures the correct emotion in my opinion. I don't think he could do some of the higher songs like man in the box that well but for songs like this he sounds great.
