@LDSliverhead Karl Pilkington is not Wheatley's original voice artist. He is simply a comedic actor who has done alot of work with Steven Merchant along with Rickey Gervais. The original voice actor was a Valve employed animator called Richard Lord who only ever did the role as a place holder. The only place you can hear the Richard Lord performance is in the E3 portal 2 test plays.

I liked the old voice just slightly better... it just had a slight tone of quarkyness to it that made wheatly sound comic in his ramblings. Still, looks like an amazing game. I want.

great still, but I do think they still need to add more of a robotic frequecny to his voice, and GLaDOS too, but still great. And notice how wheatley is the only guy robot in the facility from portal 1!!!

I agree the voice for Wheatley should be more robotic/GLaDOS like. It just doesn't feel particularly right, notice how in the original portal you could see how the voices are linked to GLaDOS. If Wheatley is apparently supposed to be one of the personality cores of GLaDOS. I believe he should have a more GLaDOS like voice, even though he's a male character I'm sure they can work out a male sort of sounding GLaDOS. I'm not sure how that would sound but I'd like to see that. :)
