Saw these guys at the edition of Paganfest in 2010 though.

A good folk metal band indeed. Love how the whole stage is filled with people, haha. Seeing the instrumental parts being actually played live totally beats the orchestra-in-a-keyboard several folk metal bands use imo :)

This is actually a blend of folk metal and melodic death metal. Folk metal uses native instruments and lyrics, hence the flutes, hurdy gurdy and bagpipes. The guitar work is often pure melodic death metal.

This is not screamo. This music uses growls/growling, which is a common vocal style in death metal. Arch Enemy is an example of the same type of vocals. Metalcore or hardcore would be closer to screamo, but at least some metalcore and hardcore bands have good music like The Autumn Offering.
