@2331aaron comcast has the worst quality possible in my area(8 layers stretching/constant freezing), AT&T gives me HD quality on standard definition... and never a bit of pixelation on HD. also check your facts, verizon and t-mobile have no correlation with AT&T's cellular service. As for the price, U-verse is not very competitively priced, especially considering the limitations. For me there are ZERO discounts for "triple play" and the TV portion costs about the same compared to DISH. It WAS cheaper, but already within only 5 months of me having U-verse, they have hiked up the price.

AT&T are very deceitful with their claims. Just like their commercials claim that you can "record up to 4 shows at once" sure as long as you only have 1 SDTV, or are happy with a limit of 1 or 2 HD streams, and possibly 3. Otherwise, say for example you are watching TV on 3 TVs, 2 in HD, 1 in SD, well if anyone decides to schedule an HD recording, it will boot a random TV from watching TV to make "room" for the recording. Or if someone schedules 2 SD shows at that time, someone will get booted.

Sure "Picture in Picture" as long as you enjoy having to press a button every 10 seconds to keep the thing from disappearing. Oh lol I also laugh at the pictures of the fiber optic cables and stuff, then the big bundle of cables, well guess what, U-verse for the majority of subscribers is supplied via VDSL on your COPPER PHONE LINE that could be anywhere between 0-60+ year old wiring.

I live in Detroit. I was supposed to get UVerse December 4,2009 the installer never called never showed. Also I stopped into an AT&T store to see a demo and it was locked up for an hour. When they got it running channel changes took about 5 seconds and no wwe on demand. Also they have a 1080 hdtv at store I still have 720 and my HD looks better. I cancelled my order with AT&T. I will stay with Comcast.

I have AT&T at home, I only download at a 800kbps speed and disconnect for .5 sec every few hours. When I bring my PC to my friends house with Comcast, i download 1.3mbps and never disconnect.

I left comcast because of the Prices. They claim to raise speed without raising prices but that is bull shit!!! I went to AT&T and I went from paying $65 a month to $35 a month. my comcast internet is a very consistent 20 megs down and 10megs up. where ATT offers DSL (NOT HIGH SPEED) at about 5-6megs down-.8megs up. viop phone is flawless. My cable is fed by fiber to the node then 625 coax trunk to 500 feeder to my tap off 3rd amp out of node on 20x4 tap. I had u-verse and pic was tiling, dsl was slow, and VOD choices sucked ass. my att bill with tv,phone internet was $115 a month with no free long distance, Same with Comcast is--$85 a month full price service

don't be fooled by the attempt to sell it with the brag of fiber optic technology. That is great, but it only runs to the node (old copper wire to your house). All the services run through the same line, so you are affected by everyone on your block.

I switched to ATT uverse from cox cable when i heard it was available in our area. I knew they had ran the cables and it was cheaper and we got a DVR and stuff, but it simply wasn't worth it.

A whole bunch of problems,horrible support (we dread calling ATT),picture quality on HD is worse than cox,the motorola box and DVR is painfully slow,internet is much slower, phone goes out often and randomly

we are switching back to cox next week (after 4 months of ATT)

You failed to research on how our system work, not realizing that the fiber to homes are only for new developments. Everyone else gets fiber to the node and copper up to 3k or so feet. Thanks, unfortunately, u-verse is based on the loop length ( feet ) you are from our VRAD's. Sounds like you are on the outer range of where your buddy has it. Keep an eye out for VRADS that are firing up cose by.. one of them might be yours!
