  • @JgordonAmtrak1 Anytime!

  • Well nah bro I thought that the one we caught today was the one that led this one but its a diff one. Idk how I knew that NS 3440 had a RS3L but it was a lucky guess!

  • lol i thought it was too, yea lucky man lol but good

  • @JgordonAmtrak1 hey Moe was the engineer wasnt he and when hes in an P42 he's the conductor blowing the horn cuz i know P42's have hornm buttons on each side

  • Yep he only blows when hes engineer

  • Awesome!

  • Thanks!

  • Nice catch :).

  • Thanks! It was

  • Yep was cool to see! Thanks they were moving

  • Those engines didn't get the nickname "The Fast 40's" for nothing.

  • lol my buddy told me they got up the 75 with that thing!

  • Damn! This was so awesome i had to watch it a second time! Whats with all the Amtrak trains having all these engines leading? He came flying around that curve, you don't know how sweet it is to have a sd40-2 leading an Amtrak train. 10/5 and fav man!!

  • Thanks man, the engine was messed up so they had to get a NS unit to toat it on lol i was glad to see that, should have chased it, next time i will

  • Dang! Mr. Moe had that thing Rockin' N Rollin'! LOL NICE!

  • Thanks bro, Hell yea lol i was glad to see that

  • u caught that on my B-day

  • thanks happy late bday lol

  • I like this. Check out mines, it different and subcribe, alright?

  • That was nice horn ever. But i remembered that I saw UP 1989 Pulled P42 also in August 2008 video . The p42 # 17 broke down at that time.

  • It's huge and it's horn crazy!! Nice video, I've never seen NS on AMTK before!!

  • Thanks man it was!~ Only rare , but they will use a ns engine if they need to, plus on the ns line here

  • Amazing catch and sick S3L action!

  • Thanks! This was great

  • That was a cool catch! Too bad the engineer had too be so goofy with the horn, it was still music to my ears though! thanks for sharing!

  • Thats my friend, he always gives horn salutes I dont think its goofy, he blows for me good all the time Thanks!

  • You know I just thought something, I bet that was weird for Moe on that horn with the SD40-2 having a lever action horn and not the 'normal' Amtrak button to push! LOL!

  • Lol I bet it was, the seating, the engine and all lol, No P42cab or controls, but cool lol

  • @JgordonAmtrak1 Yep had to run it 'old school' style!!! No computers!

  • Maybe next time they will have something better than this waiting to help lol, M-2, ACe, hate to say but D9 lol or GEVO

  • LOl Wow! As my Dad used to say, "They was sure layin' the coal to that un!" Good catch

  • lol haha, thanks man

  • nice catch Jeff!! definitely faster than that SD40-2 is used to I bet haha.

  • Thanks lol yep for sure, especially when they get from around all of these curves on the other side of town

  • Bet he felt differant in that locomotive LOL

  • lol Im sure he did! very diff engine from the GE P42 lol

  • u know Amtrak did this with UP 1989

  • THink i saw it

  • Just to clarify, did Big Moe get control of that NS SD40, or did he just let one of the NS guys know to do a horn salute?

  • No the Amtrak engineers was driving, He was at the throttle & another Amtrak conductor Ive met before was conductor until they switched at the station

  • He put you a decent show on there bro! Awesome catch and NEW paint on the SD40-2!!! At least they gave them a nice one to use! Thumbs up!

  • Thanks bro, yep Moe was nice on that horn, he said that old bastard got up to 75mph lol not bad. Yep at least it was not ragedy

  • Aw, come on now. Don't tell me "my" engine is broken now...

  • Maybe they fixed it in New Orleans

  • Wow!! Awesome!! I think that train looks sweet with that SD40-2 leading with Big Moe too!!!!! When in doubt use EMD!!!! Added to my favorites!!! Wonderful catch bro!!!!!

  • THanks man, Someone gave me heads up, I heard the horn I was like woaahh lol then it came, its rare and cool wish it was a M-2 or GEVO,thanks bro

  • Awesome catch Jeff!

  • Thanks!

  • Holy shit dude!

  • lol I know man

  • Excellent RS3L not a common site but EMDs to the rescue. The amtrak crews seem to be the best.

  • Thanks! rare man, emds are the best I guess lol Yep the cool crew!

  • HELL OF A CATCH, man 24 and 140 both must have failed, GREAT S3L and BIG MOE!!!!

  • Thanks man, I was thinking thy could have switched the engines if able, but I afree with you, one awesome catch to wait for in the heat lol

  • D@@@@m! Big Moe was lovin that S3L!!

  • THanks bro lol yep he was, man I wish the had a beast leading like ACe or M-2

  • Very neat video & catch!

  • Thanks alot bud

  • Awesome video!

  • Thank u for commenting

  • Sweet catch!

  • Thanks!

  • There didnt appear to be any damage on 24 so it probably had MAJOR mechanical issues.

  • @CSXKid5016

    Like a turbo failure.

  • Probably so!! They were late so that could be the reason

  • I talked to my bud, he said something about water, and motor locked up I forgot the rest

  • @JgordonAmtrak1 Dang GE's always blowing up and locking up!

  • yepp lolo

  • Oh man, maybe something like this will happen with the Silver Service!

    Great video!

  • Yep just let those P42s go out lol would be cool to see a csx on amtrak, thanks
