I run highway time attack with my 88 crx cuz there are no public tracks were i am and it is near impossible to predict traffic, road condition, oil spots, pots holes, state trooper hide spots, etc. So i dont think u should relate games to real life cuz its a whole-nother world.

@ghostdriver209 what you on bout at 0.56 smoke is coming from the tyres because she is breaking not cause what ever crap ur on bout ,the only other time smoke would come from the front tyers is if it were 4wd and its not the front wheels are dead/no power going to them, or if the front tyers are going agenst the groung .i e she spins out and the wheels are not traveling with the direction of the road/skidding .

after drifting in japan for over 14 years, I can tell you most of those cars are between 195 and 225 hp. i've cars lees than 150 hp drift at high speeds.

@marcosmendez25 250-300 hp can easily get those cars spinning i got a 180sx on 326 hp atw and she spins up easily and the cars not even stripped. These would be stripped and caged interiors so id imagine the cars would weigh nearing 8-900Kgs

@marcosmendez25 nah, AE86 stock has 150hp so its just if you have tractioncontrol turned off or something like that. i can drift with my RT4wd wagon just fine with a 1.6.

This is just whats the most common, you can prolly do with abit less, but numbers listed is so easy to get.

@gunzfactory minimum 100 horsepower per 1000 pounds so round 300 to 350 for starter some put up to 500 although there are persons who put even more horsepower in thier cars

@gunzfactory dont think much a friend of mine has a friend who drifted his 240sx with jus the stock KA motor more than enough. but upgrade to the SR or a RB for more power

@gunzfactory Los caballos no son totalmente necesarios en drifting y si no ahí teneis al máximo exponente del DRIFT el Toyota AE 86 que es un 1.600 cc con 110 cv y ganó el primer D1 de Drift contra un silvia s15 de 240 cv. El drift es ballet en el circuito no llegar primero. saludos ;)
