The problem is that I don't want to shout at it to tell it what to do. I just want to calmly say - Xbox play. If I'm laughing I don't want to stop, I want to just say it.

Also, when using gestures I want click stuff with my hand and not have to hover it over the selection.

If these thing are not fixed then I think the Kinect dashboard won't be used as much.

@chickenruler Clicking would involve more arm movement which would be tiring and it would not be as accurate as hovering to select.

I think the control system that they came up with is brilliant. Swiping the screens is almost exactly the same as using an iPhone or iPod Touch. Hovering to get previews is so cool. The ability to use two hands means you'll be able to select stuff on screen with little effort as you'll always have one hand close to the content you want to select.

The little touches work like the previews and two hands, some very nice additions are there, but I would much rather be using it as a 3D interface, instead of 2D. I may not be able to see it in 3D but I can feel it. It can supposedly tell how far away you are and each body part is. So I don't know why you couldn't have you hands delve into the interface and select each option. You could have it as if there is a virtual table infront of you. Like a massive iPhone or iPod Touch.
