  • The one at 3:26 is beautiful, I have a question: can you plant a seed and grow a bonsai like that, or do u have to buy a pre grown tree/bush and shape it into what you want? Cause if you can plant a seed, I'd like to do that

  • i am from japan and live in omiya, the mecca of bonsai where most of the best and oldest trees are and unfortunately we have lost so many of the best pieces during the earthquake in march including some on this video and many others because of the radiations, are now pretty sick. i have always thought we should move the best pieces in another country, but i guess it's too late now

  • You can actually grow a bonsai with fruit on it?? Mind blown

  • What tree is that at 3:27 ?

  • @EGGtart12 maple

  • @EGGtart12 Chinese maple

  • Bonsai is cruelty to trees.

  • 05:03 nice bonzai :)

  • You can bonsai a canabis satvia?

  • 3:26 I love that tree. iv been looking for the name for so long :( does anyone know what its called? i need it so bad.

  • @arian40 Japanese Maple (Could be Shindeshojo) or just bloodgood type :)

  • pflanzenlicht24.de

hier gibts die samen und bücher zum bonsai und vieles mehr

  • very cool thats commitment. unfortunately with my green thumb of death , poor little trees would be very tiny firewood lol

  • I like the chinese red maple :D

  • I call bonsai trees midget trees on occasion, but I saw some pretty decent size ones on here. About how large do they grow when they reach full height?

  • @BloodyGuru The idea is to keep them small. Indeed, that is one of the challenges of growing bonsai, because it's the nature of trees to want to grow tall, since tall means more light, so keeping them small can be tricky. If the pines or maples and most other species used for bonsai were growing in open soil, they would reach 20 or 30m and even more.

  • They are beautiful !

  • very nice work xD keep on it xD

  • np friend :) thanks for answering, have a nice day.

  • Can bonsai trees be grow from full size tree seeds? I've got several oak seedlings coming up in a pot, and was wondering if they can be dwarfed to create bonsai.

    there about 2 weeks old.

  • bonsai's are made out of normal tree seeds, so you can use any tree you like.

I want to learn about the art of bonsai. It looks interesting!

  • nice video,5*

  • You rule man! Bugs n´Bonzai´s!

    Rock n´Roll, bro!

  • Beautiful Bonsai's, the tree at 30 seconds is a Japenese Black pine ( Pinus Thunbergii ) In Japan, it is said that newcomers to Bonsai are enchanted by the white pine colouration, but the connoisseur prefers the strengh and durability of the black pine.

The tree at 3.37 is a Japenese Maple, in spring the leaves are bright red turning reddish green in summer, very susceptible to wind and sun scorch and must be protected from both.

I have kept Bonsai for 25 years now and still learning :)
